I had a lengthy and mostly pleasant stay at this hotel. The hotel has clearly been under renovation for some time, but the front lobby was open, inviting and modern. The vast majority of the desk staff were great with a special shout out to Kim. However, some, while not rude, weren’t particularly inviting. As a frequent business traveler I’m used to at least the front desk staff greeting guests with a sincere, enthusiastic greeting. For the price point, the hotel amenities were a great value. Nice breakfast set-up. Though again, the staff was not the friendliest. On several occasions I arrived at breakfast about 20 minutes before it was scheduled to end. Whether a busy weekend or slower weekday, I was impressed that they never threw out guests at 9a, which felt a bit early to me. My routine involved making waffles. One time I literally made it to the waffle machine which was still on and heated and because it was 9:05 according to the clerks watch, the station was closed, though toast and bagels were still allowed elsewhere. I noticed those allowed to eat were couples and families. I complained to the manager not just about the arbitrary policy but also the clerks very dismissive attitude. Had the waffle maker been cold and the kitchen already cleaned, I could understand, but the argument that it was a slow day and she wanted to get done quickly when it actually came from management seemed tone deaf. A few days later, it was a crowded day and I placed my prepared waffles in a corner while I got drinks and helped some other guests. Some young girls took my waffles from where my belongings had been, when I confronted them they didn’t seem to understand English. Their father apologized. I decided to make two more and waited in line. The dispenser on the batter fell off and the clerk came in. She took out the entire bottle and the was some, but not much batter left. Rather than replace the dispenser, she said it was close to 9a on a crowded holiday weekend. People protested. I spoke up that my waffles had been waffle-napped and there appeared to be enough batter for the rest of us. She saw it was me and walked out. People came up to share that they saw my food being taken and her attitude. The room was comfortable, the WiFi was decent, the housekeeping was a bit spotty. Had it not been for the very uncharacteristically rude staff behavior, all would have been forgiven by their wonderful pet policy.

In a word, our experience was horrible. First, the airport shuttle starts at 4 am, meaning there is no shuttle available for the first flights out. Second, the hotel had the faint smell of garbage lingering in the corridor to the elevator. Third, the tub looked dirty, and then spout fell off when my husband attempted to use the shower diverter. The hotel did offer to move us to another room, only for to us to discover that the new room was uncleaned--the bed unmade, the ironing board in the way, and an full coffee cup sitting on the desk. It was late, so we opted to stay in the first room with the promise of a discount once the night person talked to a manager. The offer the next morning: a paltry $10 discount. Never again.

First going back to my father's funeral I stayed at this hotel with no problems. Coming back to Colorado I had to stay again at the same Hotel but they would not let me in. They asked for my name on the card I had my wife's card I'm a signer but they would not let me use it or call the phone number to find out that I am a signer. I did get a ride back to the O'Hare Airport tip the driver ten bucks and slept in a wheelchair, bad back, 9 screws a plate and two rods it was not a comfortable night. I will not stay at this hotel ever again.

On the positive side, we brought our dogs and they did not change a pet fee. However, Our room smelled like urine and the bathroom floors were full of hair. On the way back, I arrived at the airport and had to wait an hour for the shuttle back to my car.

You guys need to work on the cleaning, we found many hair on the bathroom floor and the tub and some bread crumbs on the carpet. They change the towels every day. Not sure if they change the sheets but no complaints about the beds. I know out there are many options and we get for what we pay but you can do better. We ask for a room on high level and was peaceful. They offer free breakfast and is ok.
