Story

Vermont's largest lake takes center stage at this KOA. Choose your patch of paradise - a 75-foot-long Pull-Thru RV Site, Deluxe Cabin or a secluded Tent Site - then settle in near the lakeshore to enjoy peaceful views of Lake Bomoseen and its surrounding forest. Glide along the shoreline in a canoe or set out in a rowboat to cast for bass, northern pike and trout. You'll find plenty of activity on shore too. Everyone loves the pool complex with its large swimming pool, kiddie pool and waterslides. Indoor movies, mini golf and themed weekends add to the fun. Groups appreciate the large rec hall and covered patio area. The woods are home to deer and moose, which occasionally wander through the campground. Attractions such as Six Flags and Fort Ticonderoga in New York are within an hour's drive.Pool: Memorial Weekend - Labor Day Weekend. Max pull thru: 75 feet. Your hosts: Daniel & Estelle Adams and family.

We stay here with our camper, whenever we visit my wife's family, who live in the area. I like most of the sites that I've had, as they were pretty private, and the hook-ups were good. My kids like riding their bikes around the site, since the roads are paved, and the pool is nice, with three separate areas; one kiddie pool, one for the two slides, and the larger one that goes up to 5 feet deep. The playground is OK, but probably suited for younger kids. The campsite has lake access for boats, but not for swimming. The reason I don't give it a higher rating, is because despite my campsites being pretty good, they really cram people in everywhere they can, which leads to the place getting pretty crowded, and therefore busy and loud. There are a lot of seasonal campers, who all know each other, and leads to kind of a party atmosphere. That may appeal to some, but I like it to be a little quieter. That being said, this is a good launching point to some neat historical areas, as well as beautiful hikes or mt. biking areas.

The basic cabin we stayed in the first night was fine. Fortunately the tent site we got (101) was okay as many of the sites are not good, especially most sites further down the road from us. #100 and 95 are probably the best tent sites. If you like to swim in a lake, then this place is not for you. The part of the lake at his campground is shallow and loaded with aquatic plants. The bathrooms, pool area, and front staff were fine. The lack of good sites for tents and the lack of lake swimming s what keeps the rating down.

This is a very nice campground with lots of amenities and a fully stocked camp store. My only neg comment would be the dollar a day extra charge for CATS! A little picky. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

As per usual, KOA campgrounds are exceptional. Stayed in cabins that they have and was quite pleased at the cleanliness in the bath house and cabins! Plan to stay there again soon!

I have read one week of reviews from 7-22-2017 on. The people must have been crazy!!!!! They we're obviously spoiled inne city brats. I will correct the lies in those reviews. The campsites was flooded, well I spent a day in the teeming rain and did not see one puddle! The lake was a swamp. Hello!, Lilly pads grow on lakes. It was a Great Lake with great fishing. The camp was loud until 2 am, wrong! It was always quiet. The dogs were barking constantly, wrong! I heard 2 dogs bark for 1 minute at noon. The campsites were very spacious and very clean. The campsites were very uneven and difficult to level a trailer or camper, wrong, we could dance around our site. The groups of " marauding kids " Had nothing to do, wrong! A very large recreation room with many video games, a pool table, and indoor mini golf course, 3 pools, and a large country camp store, not to mention kayak, rowboats, pontoon boat's, and fishing boats to rent.they even had a pizzeria Kids were having a ball. Old docks in need of repair, wrong! The docs were modern aluminum free floating docks that were in great shape. All in all this campground was great. The people were friendly, see final note) they monitored all the campers needs. Only one negative comment in a bad review that I can agree with is that The two young girls knitting at the front office had a matter of fact attitude about everything. If you can get them to smile and my rating would be five stars across the board. Thanks to you all for a great camping experience 😀😀😀.
