The Lake County Historical Museum displays artifacts pertaining to the history of Lake County, Indiana. The museum is open from May to October.
The Lake County Historical Museum was established in 1982. The museum was funded by the Oktober Committee, organized by Hank and Bea Baum, and is now operated by the lake County Historical Society. The Society was established in 1875 to collect, preserve, and display the history of the county, its pioneers, and early settlers.
Located on the second floor of the Old Courthouse, the museum has four spacious rooms full of documents, pictures, and artifacts represented cities and towns in Lake County.
