While I did enjoy my experience I do wish there was a few more interactive activities for kids. There are some but I was expecting more. It was beautiful and we learned a lot!Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$6–10

Lots of history about the state of Michigan. Very detailed. Very interesting.
A fantastic experience. A great look at Michigan History, and very cool look at Michigan through the decades. This is a great opportunity for experiential learning for multiple age groups. This museum is easily accessible and easy to follow. The museum is clean, easy to learn from, and super easy to follow. The numerous hands on options keep younger children from being tempted by the areas that are not hands on. Great experience all around!
We love our beautiful state! Proud Michiganders. The museum was very informational, beautiful and creative. Only downfall would be that some of the paintings/exhibits didn’t have a description, and there’s no arrows helping navigate you through. However, it was fairly easy to make sure we saw everything and it was very informative. Great representation of our wonderful state!
Pre-COVID visit: We enjoyed our time at the Michigan History Center, though I must be honest and say that we were beginning to wonder when we stepped in to the "prison exhibit" when you first walk through the door. Other than that, I think the exhibits were very informative, interesting, and well done. I especially liked the military history, manufacturing history, automobile history, and the areas covering the Great Depression. I would highly recommend all with an interest in history to visit this place!
Great history to be found here. The place had a big variety of artifacts and different era pieces. Worth stopping in and spending about 2 hours to view and admire their displays. Plus sundays are free with free parking. Great for kids as well.
The exhibits are super interactive!! Great place for families.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$6–10
