Took a nice hike here around the lake one morning. The people on the trail were friendly, and didn't need to stop and chat to continue on which was nice. Only weird part was as I was leaving I asked the employee at the hut thingy about the lake's swimming status, he told me it attracts geese and they tend to raise the toxicity but his dog sure loves it as "keeping that dog out the water is like keeping a black man out of a watermelon patch" Whoa dude, thanks for taking all the serenity I just got on my hike and sending it to the back of the bus.

I have brought my family to this lake almost every year for35 years! We stay in a cabin and swim fish hike and boat. It is very fast to town but the full kitchens make it easy to stay and enjoy the quiet and beauty. If you like a place that is not upity but has everything you need to stay this is your place! The 40s feel of stone bathhouse and picnic areas make it seem a gentler time came back. kids jumping off the old rock diving platform into soft spring fed water that you can see their whole body through is reassuring and memory building. It even has a bait shop of the old fashioned kind. I will come back as long as I can.

Rustic and beautiful. Boat rentals available. Huge new playground structure. Attentive staff. This is a great camping or day use destination!

I had a tremendous amount of fun here. Take a bike and enjoy the climbs and downhill rips. It can be steep at times. Up and down. It was a white knuckle ride at times with the light dampness on some on the rocks at times. I'd ride it again.
