This was my first experience with Dr Caissie and I must say the guy did an incredible job on my first ever root canal. I had heard horror stories from friends and coworkers that they had to be sedated for their root canal and were on heavy prescription drugs following the procedure. I'll admit I was a little nervous, but Dr Caissie took the time to answer all my questions and make me feel at ease before getting started, he was very professional and his bedside manner is excellent. He took his time while doing the procedure, as mine was a little more difficult than anticipated and I never felt rushed. I went to work the same day and am having very little discomfort with only ibuprofen to curb the soreness. I don't doubt that this is due to the quality of the work that was done. Does he charge a little more than other doctors? Perhaps, but you really do get what you pay for. Excellent first experience, would go back again, though hopefully I never have to.

I am surprised to see only 1 review of this establishment and Doctor, and moreover that it is 7 years old and negative, so I wanted to share my experience.

My general dentist conducted a crown prep on 2 of my teeth, and one of them started aching. She suggested hastily that I should have a root canal and wanted to perform it immediately. I desired a second opinion so I visited Lake Mary Endodontics and had a consult with Dr. Caissie.

The office was clean and modern, and everyone was friendly and helpful from the front desk to the assistant in the exam room. Once Dr. Caissie entered he had a great "bedside" manner, and truly made me feel that he understands that having/possibly needing a root canal is a stressful experience for those of us who haven't had one before. He did much more thorough tests than my dentist did, asked more questions, and then sat down and actually explained to me why he thought a root canal was NOT necessary. 

It has now been several months since that initial diagnosis from my general dentist and my tooth feels fine without having an unnecessary root canal. However, if I had indeed needed one, I would have gone back to Lake Mary Endodontics for the procedure as I felt very confident they could do better work than my Dentist. 

I also feel a need to comment on the sole other Google review I referenced earlier. Regarding the cost of the procedure, I asked over the phone how much both a consult and root canal would be. While they had to check with my insurance, I had at least a worst case price to base decisions on. If the previous reviewer really had a root canal and THEN asked how much it cost, shame on him, not the doctor. I personally would have paid more for Dr. Caissie to perform the procedure than my dentist since I learned through research that not all root canals are created equal.

His wife, being an MBA, and stay-at-home mom, likes to "run" the office for her husband.. Also like to charge outrageous prices for their average services. One average root canal maxed out my insurance for the rest of the calendar year..  One f***ing root canal, $1024 dollars, Classic Dental does a "contract" price with Delta for $580.. Why the double price?  See the first sentence..  Other than that, nice office, comfortable chairs with TV.. Worth the extra $500 for the TV?, not hardly.. I'd rather have the rest of my teeth fixed this year.. Instead I now have to pay Full price for services to get the rest of my teeth fixed.. (they knew I needed 3 root canals from the initial referral..) Instead I have 1 root canal, and an abcess in one of the other two, and they have my money. When you go there, ask if they care about my abcess? Or even if I lose any or all of my teeth.  No they don't care.  THEY HAVE MY F***ING MONEY... crooks...
