Great park. I wish we had had more time to explore, but we were really just passing through on our way to Statesville. Looks like this park has a good number of trails. We went to the "beach"/swimming area. The facilities were very well maintained - they even had life jackets out on the beach for anyone who needed one to use. They also have canoe rentals. I would really love to come back on a day that we had enough time to really explore.

Very nice trail to walk with your dog. I went on a sunny day and got there in the morning but it was already getting busy. By the time I had completed the trail it was even busier so I recommend getting there early if you enjoy a quiet walk. The trail has great views of the lake.

We swam and paddled kyaks - both were a great time! Swimming was free and I think the paddle boats were under $5 a person. The swimming area is a little tight, but the water is nice and you can bring a picnic! An awesome day trip! Can't wait to hike the trails!

Very peaceful place of natural beauty. We'll kept clearly defined and marked trails. I've hiked here and did some trail running. Big fan.

I love this park! It has tons of things to do like hike, biking, boating, kayaking or just picnic. Their boat rentals are just $5! Which is super cheap.
