I always have a great time while I stay here!!! Beautiful area, wonderful staff, and easy to get into/ out of spots for trailers and rvs, plus perfect tent spots! Plus, they're dog friendly!!!

Great location and cheap camping for someone that wants to be close to Oceanside/Carlsbad.

Decent enough camp ground. Standard tent sites with fire pit and space to park a vehicle. There are basic amenities such as bathrooms with one shower and portajohns outside the bathroom. The bathroom was mildly dirty. There's also no staff located there at the campsite as well as no one to enforce quiet hours. Groups have been known to get drunk and noisily disturb other campers through the night.

I come here to chase birds.  Right along the Pacific Flyway, you never know what you might see at Lake O'Neill.
