This is a very bigoted and hateful church. I worked here years ago. They seemed pleased with me and I enjoyed my job. However, I grew up in foster care. I had two different sets of foster parents through the years. One was an elderly couple and later, when health issues struck them, I went to a family where the parents were younger. I was lucky to have such great people in my life. I turned an adult in foster care and went to college. After graduation, I worked at this church. After a few months, I mentioned to the pastor that I had met my birth parents and was upset to find out that they were not good people. The next day, I was met at the door in front of the church and told I could not enter because of my past. My past! I was immediately fired and told I was not welcome at that church. Simply put, if you are a foster parent, former foster child, adoptive parent, or were an adopted child, or support any of these populations, this is not the church for you. That pastor is no longer there, but the staff that made the decision to fire me for having grown up not with my biological family may be. This is not a good church, and it is far from Christian or what the bible tells us to do.
