Story

People who visit Lambert's Cafe for the first time are invariably amazed at the generous portions served on each order. These generous servings along with our "THROWED ROLLS" have inspired many questions. We cannot describe our activity in great detail, but we've endeavored to point out some of the highlights of our "Throwed Rolls" cafe.

I enjoyed this place a lot, there was plenty of food options to choose from. The wait can be a bit crazy, especially on the weekends so match out for that! I loved the style of the place as well. The drinks come in huge cups, people throw rolls at you, constant sides are offered all the time. In my opinion, this place is more about the experience than anything else. From all their flags hanging around, to their model train tracks set and vast collection of license plates, this place has a lot visually that you will enjoy. Also if you enjoy the place that much and want to take a little of it back home with you, plus note that they have a decently sized souvenir store right next door. I have just one thing I will say that I do not enjoy, you have to have cash on you. They do not accept debit or credit cards. Not the end of the world but the meal can be expensive and then if you do not have cash you have to get an ATM fee on top of that at their ATM. But regardless food is good, atmosphere is good, definitely a place to try if you are in the Springfield, Missouri area.

I'll admit I have a bias against this type of place, but let's just be honest this type of place and Lambert's especially thrive on mediocre food, nostalgia, and kitsch.  Be prepared to wait over an hour in a packed environment where you have to shove your way to just get to the restroom, then you can enjoy the kitsch of having rolls thrown at you while you gaze upon the 40s-70s southern Midwest nostalgia decor.  Once you're done over eating fried everything, you can blow money in the gift shop on pointless gifts your friends and family will pretend to like for a few minutes.

Also they can't be bothered to pay the credit card usage fee so break out the cash.

You deserve better.  Go somewhere else.

Amazing food. Great atmosphere.  Nice place to eat if you're by yourself or with a group of 20. The pass arounds are always fresh and delicious. Staff is great. The guys who throw the rolls are awesome. Fun stuff in the gift shop.

Better know how to catch because rolls are coming in HOT! Very fun for the whole family. While I was there a young kid caught a roll and everyone in that section of the restaurant cheered. That's the atmosphere of the whole place. Great place to take the family!

Lambert's Cafe is truly amazing. The pass arounds that come with most meals are absolutely delicious with my favorite being the fried okra.  The portions are large and you will not leave hungry.  Great for all party sizes from small to entire bus loads,  Lambert's Cafe can accommodate them all.  Very nice gift shop as well.
