Didn't get to fully explore when we visited, but the view of the river from the nature trail is impressive.  If you're lucky you'll spot one of the bald eagles that nest here in the spring.

Easy and short walk on flat terrain with two great views. Met a few locals who told me more of its history than described. Seems like a place I'd like to canoe in the future.

Awesome park with a lot of history. The canal trail is long but well worth it, there are still parts of the canal in sections and an old Mill. They also have eagles that nest at times!

Great place for a walk along the river.

Great walking trails. Watch out for Poison ivy which is  creeping at the edge. Great views of the catawba river. Dip your feet and enjoy the shady breezy trails on the summer dog days to cool off. Bring your hammock and your kayak too!
