NEVER again! I have never been treated SO poorly and disrespectfully in any restaurant EVER! We have been customers since this restaurant opened. Ordered a shrimp cocktail and asked for no onions. It arrived with onions, ok, I COULD work around it but the heavy glass bowl that the food was served in was HOT, as if it had came out of the oven/washer. This dish should be served COLD. I returned the food to the kitchen. The waitress was kind and understanding. Then the manager came to the table in a huff asking why the food was returned. He insisted that the food was served at 40 degrees. Perhaps it was removed from refrigeration at 40 degrees, but by the time the hot dish warmed the food, it was not edible. I was fine returning the food and going without. But the fact that the manager insisted that I was lying about the temperature of the food and insisted that I was wrong was enough for me. They literally forced us to pay and leave before my wife was even done with her meal. There are few choices in the area for Mexican food and that has led to this restaurant's success. That their complete disrespect for a customer like me and so many others is occurring will certainly be their demise. If you would like to be treated like family, look up the Monterrey House. They're close by and truly APPRECIATE their customers. Put Las Portrancas out to pasture!

Great little neighborhood restaurant. I'm not sure if this is all family run, but it sure has the great service and attention to detail that one would expect. Everything we have ever tried here is good, with a couple standing out. They have a large selection of special salsas made to order, as well as daily margarita specials. Each day features a different margarita at a very discounted price. I challenge anyone to find better hash browns, you'll have to try them to see what I mean. I have to add that on our last visit, they had an excellent none piece Mariachi band. We we're there with a friend from Mexico, and he requested his favorite song, and they played it for him beautifully! Wonderful experience!

Absolutely delicious. Been there twice, both times been very happy with dinner. The staff is really super.

My wife and I went here for lunch today and never again will we return to begin are chips and salsa came and the salsa wasn't even salsa it was the red sauce that they put on their shrimp meals and left over Pico de gallo & first ordered a Corona took over 10 minutes and we both had ordered a Mexican hamburger with half and half which is mild and hot salsa mix if you don't know we received half enchilada sauce on one side and 1/2 green chili on the other and not to mention the poor quality of hamburger tasted like frozen hamburgers from Sam's Club and already had grill marks on them & were burnt on the bottom side everywhere else I've ever ordered a Mexican hamburger doesn't come into round patties in the middle of my tortilla and if you order a side of guacamole it's going to cost you $5. My five-year-old could have made a better Mexican hamburger than this restaurant
