On August 4, 2017, I went into lash lab as a new client, to get a fill. Approximately 15-20 minutes into my session, my lash technician (Mandy) proceeded to have the sniffles.  It was a little distracting, but not a big deal.  However, about 5 minutes later she proceeds to do large inhales of snot and mucous.  Her nose became so stuffed up that I could smell and feel her breath on my face.  She then started coughing, and walked away twice to blow her nose.  I laid there with my eyes taped up, feeling very vulnerable, and debating whether I should ask for another technician.  I rationalized (in my head) that she was almost done.

That night my throat started feeling a bit "scratchy", so I decided to go to bed early.  I woke up feeling congested and with a sore throat.  I called and spoke to Ditre, and explained what had happened (Ditre was also at the shop when Mandy filled my lashes). She stated that Mandy had been on antibiotics for 5 days due to bronchitis.  I expressed that a policy needs to be put in place for employees that are sick.  She should have at least been considerate enough to have worn a mask over her mouth.  Needless to say, if you have a weak immune system, get sick easily, or have a newborn (or have a family member that's more susceptible to illness) then do yourself a favor and book at a DIFFERENT lash salon.   After sharing this with Detrie (the owner) there's was no resolution or apology.
