Laundry Matters is a non-profit laundromat operated by Loving America Street. We currently employ two local residents, offer free laundry services for homeless, free computer coding classes, Bible study and a drop-off service.

Staying at MUSC with my husband who's ill, I discovered this place through Google Maps and liked the reviews. And yes, this place is everything folks said it was. It's clean, has an assortment of washing machine sizes, a convenience store next door for detergent or snacks. To be honest, coming from out of town, I saw the neighborhood and was a bit wary; it seemed kind of sketchy to me. But the condition of the laundry mat and the friendliness of the locals set my mind at ease right away. It's a nice place that I will definitely use again until my husband gets well enough to go home.

Love the mission and vision of this Laundromat and the people running it. They put their hearts and souls into loving their community, and all the people in it. No one is a stranger here. Just neighbors and friends. Plus- turquoise!! Best color ever!!

Super helpful, professional and friendly staff! Donated laundry products sometimes available for folks in community. Most affordable drop-off laundry service in Charleston! Safe and very clean. Love Laundry Matters!

A wonderful outreach staple for the Eastside Community of Downtown Charleston, SC. They even have a drop-off service available for same-day or next-day pickup...along with special "Free Wash" days and a "Blessing Box" that's usually filled with donations for locals to take as they please!!!

Cleanest laundromat in Charleston! They are also ran by a non-profit and if you use their drop-off service it helps employ Eastside residents which is really cool! Everyone is so nice and they have a lot going on always for the community. I highly recommend checking it out!!!!
