I would not recommend this place to anyone. My father-in-law passed away last week and my sister-in-law chose this place because that had used Lauterburg and Oehler when her mother passed away. My father-in-law was a vet and as such, there was going to be a flag presented by the Air Force at the service. Although protocol dictates that the flag goes to the oldest child if the spouse is deceased, my sister-in-law wanted it. The staff said that was no such protocol and that we would need to come to a consensus and that they would not get in the middle. At the internment, the flag was presented to my sister-in-law and when I asked about the funeral director about it I was told that they gave it to her because she was the one with the money. They also didn't give anyone an opportunity to speak at the funeral, and when I said that I had wanted to they told me that I should have said something to them. I was told that I would have an opportunity to speak the next day at the internment if I wanted to, and was again never asked. There were a lot of disagreements in the family, but the bottom line is that Lauterburg and Oehler cared more about the money then they do about helping grieving families through an emotional process.
