Rick is great. He's saved me money on some extremely frivolous ticket. I work hard and make every effort to be a safe and conscientious driver but the state treats hard working American truckers like an ATM on wheels. While I had to part with some cash today, Rick saved me a lot of money over the long run due to increased insurance rates and possibility of a dinged employee driving record. I got a kid going to college and he needs that money more than my uncle sam. Thanks Rick.

Where to start? I was faced with a criminal matter that resulted in me going to jail. I was held until the next evening. I met with Rick the next day and Rick advised me that it would take 4 1/2 months to get through the legal process in the Everett Municipal Courts. It was exactly 4.5 months to the day that my case was dismissed. Rick was never so blind as to believe that this case was going to be easy and he was always very straight-forward in his answers, even when I didn't like what I was being told. Rick never promised anything, and when I thought the process should be happening faster, Rick made it very clear that we were on their playing field and things would happen at their pace, plain and simple. I met with Rick on numerous occasions, both in his office and in the courtroom, and he always seemed to be just as comfortable in the courtroom as he was in his private office. Time after time the prosecution offered "deals" to make the case go away. The next "deal" being better than the last, but still meaning a permanent criminal record and loss of my 30 year career. Each "deal" that was offered Rick gave me advice, saying that it was my decision entirely, but also advising against taking anything that was offered if I didn't feel that it was in my best interest. When Rick realized that I was not willing to accept anything but a total dismissal, he suggested that we take it to trial. although this is risky in any criminal proceeding, I jumped at the chance to have my day in court in front of a jury. It was going to cost another $1,500.00 for a jury trial. Rick said to take my time, come up with the money, and he would schedule it for a jury trial. After raising the trial money, which is never easy, Rick advised the prosecution that we were ready for trial. This is where it all changed. When it was realized by the prosecution that we were in fact taking it to trial the prosecutor decided to dismiss the case entirely. If it weren't for the experience of Rick Merrill, this could still be dragging on, but because of Rick and his experience, it is over and done with.  Rick is a caring, informative, pull no punches attorney that will make it very clear if he believes that you don't have a chance of winning your case but still gives you all the choices in deciding what you want to do and how you want to proceed. To sum it up, I cannot sing the praises of Rick Merrill enough. If you want an attorney that truly fights for his clients rights and puts people above profit, Rick Merrill is the man to call....hands down. Also, last but not least by any means, thank you to Christy and Holly, Ricks amazing support team, who always answered the phone with a smile in their voice and were always polite and informative, never once letting on that they were probably hoping that my case would be resolved as much as I was because I wouldn't constantly be calling with questions anymore, and I do mean constantly. They were just as professional as Rick in their communications with me and the way they communicate your concerns to Rick in a clear and expedient manner. They are wonderful and Rick is very lucky to have them, which means his clients benefit as well. Also, if you are calling after 5:00 pm expecting to get a voicemail, think again. Never once, regardless of how late it was, when I was calling with stupid questions, did Rick not personally answer his phone, always willing to answer questions, regardless of what he was involved with at the moment. To sum it up, you cannot and will not find an attorney that is just as concerned about your legal well being as you are. Rick was never about the money, he was about the human being standing in front of him, or the judge for that matter, who didn't know what was going to happen next. You are not a number with Rick, as he actually cares about his clients. I could go on and on, but you will not find a better criminal attorney anywhere in Snohomish County, or probably Western Washington for that matter. I will forever be a client of Rick Merrill. Thank you Rick, you are the best.

Rick has helped me with a few tickets and every time he has been able to get them dismissed.  I would strongly recommend him if you're unlucky enough to see red and blue lights behind you while you're trying to keep up with the speed of life.  Thank you so much Mr. Merrill, hopefully I don't have to use your services again but if I do I know I'll be in good hands!

Called on 4th of July  at 7am,  because of a holiday  I was ready to leave a voicemail , but to my surprise I   got an answer from Rick. Was impressed by what people on google said about his services in reviews.  RIck was very polite and pleasant to talk to . Hired him on the spot.
