I hired Scott to represent me for an ongoing civil case in 2014.  Below is my review of Scott Ames, after 3+ years of service:

Belief -

I hired Scott because he has a solid and moral belief in my case.  Over time, I noticed my case was not the exception, but his standard.  He brings passion, conviction, precision, and detailed research to the cases he represents.  Before hiring him, I researched his career. With some of his cases found within the news media (some of which I remembered beforehand), together with the drive and conviction of his personality - it was an easy decision for me to hire him.

Business -

Business is business.  For as much empathy as Scott may possess for whatever your case may be, there must be a basis within the law for your case, or he will not consider it.  Life may not be fair, but has someone broken then law?  Scott will be very clear and upfront with you regarding this.  He doesn't want to waste his time, or yours; he will not take your case if he doesn't believe in it, or feels it is a case that cannot be won.  He is up front and direct regarding his costs and fees, and it's listed within a contract before anything moves forward.  His fees and expenses are reasonable, detailed, and itemized.

Professionalism -

Scott is professional, fair, ethical and compassionate.  I would recommend him to anyone, and I feel lucky to have him representing me. He respects my knowledge and experience within my professional career, using my attention to detail to our advantage.  Together, within my civil case, we make an excellent team, utilizing the best attributes of both of us, including our knowledge and personalities, to win our case.

Let's get the obvious out of the way: Scott Ames is an excellent attorney. His accolades are both impressive and plentiful, including "Lawyer of the Year in Employment Law." He is very well respected in the legal community.

I would venture to say that most people aren't having their best day when they decide to hire an attorney. When I met Scott, it was during some very difficult days. It was important to me to find a highly skilled attorney, but it was just as important for me to find someone who I trusted, and who was warm and empathetic. Scott is all of those things. Filing a lawsuit and going through the litigation process can be overwhelming, and having Scott as my counsel and advocate made all the difference. 

I cannot recommend Scott and his team enough. Scott is in high demand, but if you have the opportunity to work with him, you absolutely should. He changed my life.

Scott represented my wife and I in a employment dispute with a private party.  We couldn't have been happier with the result or the process.  He knows his stuff inside and out, and opposing lawyers are aware of this and respect him.  I would use him again in a heartbeat and recommend him to anyone needing expertise in this area of the law.  As a litigator he carries a big stick, which he didn't need to use in our instance because the opposing counsel knew his reputation for winning cases like ours and  cut his losses.  Everyone in his office is professional and courteous, so we give Scott Ames Law a big thumbs up.  Thanks Scott.  Mike and Peggy.

If you ever find yourself in the unfortunate situation of needing to hire an employment lawyer, I strongly suggest you hire Scott.  Going through a lawsuit is not only stressful, it’s a long process.  I found Scott to be extremely calming, knowledgeable, compassionate and honest.  He acts with integrity and a commitment to seeking the truth and to seeking justice. 

Scott will be honest and straight up with you every step of the way, about your case, the risks, the process, costs, and your options.  All decisions were mine, he presented the pros and cons, and I made the decisions.

Scott treated me with respect, it was like we were a team.  Same goes for his staff, very supportive and understanding.  Scott was always available via email, office # or cell. I always felt like I was a priority.

Hiring Scott was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.  Should you need a lawyer, I strongly recommend Scott.
