MUST VISIT IN STL! Coming from NYC, this is hands down one of the best spots I’ve been to lately from the drinks, food, service, and all around vibes. They put an incredible amount of detail into everything and it shows. The craft cocktails are innovative, yet approachable, and extremely well-balanced. They also carry a unique variety of spirits on the menu that you can’t find anywhere else. One drink I especially loved and recommend is the Budgy Smuggler made with their housemade clarified milk. You can also order off the entire Yellowbelly food menu sister restaurant next door and every dish we tried was amazing. Get the raw and hot fried oysters, beef fat fries, lump crab fritters, elote taquitos, brussels, charred carrots, pork belly, green curry salmon, and grilled hangar steak. Everything was cooked perfectly and the flavors were so unique. This should be a must stop if you’re in STL and also a great event space. I can’t wait to go back!
Food and service at Lazy Tiger are top notch and the ambiance should be experienced by all. They have an awesome “new age” cocktail menu that gives plenty of spin to everyone’s favorite classics. They serve food from Yellowbelly, their sister restaurant next door. We absolutely loved every dish and drink ordered. Will return soon to order different items and get more of the whole experience. Thanks for a great dinner! Vegetarian options: Lots of vegan and vegetation selections throughout the menu, including some options to customize a dish based on diet restrictions
This place in general looks very, very cool. I love the look of the place. It's very okay shout out to Elizabeth. She was our waiter. She did great The food is great. It's a little expensive side but it's worth it. The drinks are great too. I got the banana pain killer. Highly recommend. Will definitely go back again. And just a note, their food is from Yellow Belly. They're like partner places But it doesn't take long. The food comes out quick. The drinks come out quick. And they're happy hours are only on Tuesdays and Thursdays but highly recommend. Highly recommend. Also make sure you have your IDs Vegetarian options: I know they have vegetarian options but there's a picture of the menu to show you more. They also have separate things for food allergies and you should request a non gluten-free bun
Stumbled upon the Lazy Tiger when the cocktail bar down the street was full. It was near 9pm on a Friday night and I was asked if I had a reservation, which we didn't. The woman who sat us said a party of 3 had failed to show, so she gave us their table - but I felt there were plenty of open spots available. We did go just for a cocktail, though the entire menu sounded delicious and I'd love to try it again. We each ordered a different drink and they were all delicious. I had the Jungle Cat and it was a unique blend of flavors I never would have normally put together. Our server was just okay. He passed us off about 45 minutes into our being there and the next server was friendly, but not overbearing. Overall it was a great experience. I'd go back to try the menu and for the vibe, but don't think I'd make this a frequent spot.
We had such an amazing experience at Lazy Tiger while I was in town on business. I had been traveling all day and wanted some solid food and a good drink. Our server Elizabeth over delivered! She was one of the best servers I have had in a long time and gave us some amazing recommendations. My friend and I ended up trying 6 or so drinks off the menu and had I not had to work in the morning we would have loved to try them all. Every single one was top tier. I ordered the cheese burger and fries, and both were phenomenal. It was so great that after working all day Saturday I knew I wanted a guaranteed good meal/drink so we went back again! As a Kansas City native I have experienced many great food and cocktail options and I confidently can say Lazy Tiger can run with the best. I can’t wait to visit again soon, thank you!!
Went here hoping for a special and intimate dinner with my wife. Experience was not at all what I was hoping for. The 2 seat tables are so close you nearly bump embows with the party next to you. We were seated by the door so every new customer was standing over us. Service was attentive but annoying that because they often reminded customers of the next reservation and that they needed to leave by a certain time. Water tasted awful. Cocktails were very good. Food was good but a bit highfalutin fancier than it needed to be just so they can charge more yet it isn't actually any better.. I would only recommend Lazy Tiger for medium size groups,.. I think you will have a better experience. And also could recommend for a fancy cocktail. Would not recommend for date night.
Walking along the sidewalk in st louis midtown/hospital schoolish area, don’t blink or you’ll miss this treasure! Lazy Tiger gives you bohemian meets eclectic trendy, laid back groove feels and it’s perfect! The cocktail menu is full of fresh fruit flavors paired perfectly with selected libations to awaken your palate to a new way to experience an anything but ordinary mixed drink… delicious! I had lucky lips! If the drink doesn’t bring you back, the food definitely will… apps, small plates or full meal, no matter which you choose, its the right choice! My jerk chicken sandwich blended flavorful seasoned meat with homemade zesty kickin’ sauce that balanced the taste perfectly so they didn’t compete for my taste buds attention, but complimented the whole sandwich. I topped mine with the amazing pork belly that can be a meal itself. The kimchi, apples, and whatever other deliciousness accompanied the pork belly, gave total satisfaction. I haven’t even gotten to the cheddar biscuits that you taste real cheddar cheese and the crisp edges or the beef fat fries… let’s just say not a fry was left!! Do yourself a favor next time you’re in the Lou for a ballgame or conf etc, take a trip to the Lazy Tiger… You’re welcome Vegetarian options: Varied selection of items to choose from.
All of the food was delicious and the drink was strong and flavorful! The price point is a bit high but it's perfect for a special occasion, I reccomend reserving a table in advance because it was quite busy but they were still able to seat us. Staff was very attentive as well.Food: 5/5
I have patronized Yellowbelly before, but never the cocktail bar side.. And I loved it! It was a really cute, intimate atmosphere.. And the coconut shrimp, top notch. Definitely would recommend.Food: 5/5
A little bit of a hidden location and is somewhat connected to the great seafood restaurant Yellowbelly. There is a draped doorway between the restaurant and this bar called Lazy Tiger. The food was outstanding. The drinks are very finely made with wonderful ingredients. The staff had top notch support and were sincere in their care and delivery. Totally five stars and worth a visit. We hit this restaurant before heading to the Fox Theater, which was only a 6 minute drive away.
