The mission of the Lebanon Police Department is to continually enhance the safety and security of the residents and visitors of the City of Lebanon.
The Lebanon Police Department was founded on May 2, 1816 by the orders of the commissioners with the premise that the patrol unit would consist of able-bodied men appointed by the council. They would soon become known as the "guardian angels" of the growing town.
The mission of the Lebanon Police Department is to improve the quality of life by impartially enforcing laws and safeguarding the lives and property of the people we serve.
The Lebanon Police Department will accomplish this mission by:
