I could write a book about my negative experience as an undergrad at Lehigh, but I'll try to sum it up in one review. Just a disclaimer that I graduated 10+ years ago, and I sincerely hope that culture has changed. If you consider yourself to be an out-of-the-box thinker, or any kind of feeler, I wouldn't recommend this school. It is a rat race. The only people I know who ended up with decent jobs graduated from business or engineering, but you have to fit into the mold to make it. As for the rest of us, it's a useless, expensive piece of paper unfortunately. There are (some) wonderful professors in all the disciplines. But this isn't enough to make up for the emphasis on Greek life, substandard residential and other services, and diminishment of true intellectual inquiry in most circles. The silver lining is connecting with the few other lost souls who are struggling among the masses, and I will never forget those friends. Please also consider the surrounding neighborhood, which can be shady and unsafe. I was a crime victim on multiple occasions, and I assure you I wasn't asking for it. My recommendation is that you seriously consider your options and attend an institution that has true class and decorum. Open your eyes and see what lurks beneath the surface. At Lehigh, it's not good.

I created this account just so I could write this review because I didn't want my actual name up there as a review. I'm afraid Lehigh is going to screw me in yet another way. Rather be safe than sorry. I had very high hopes for Lehigh, but almost everything that has happened to me here has gone horribly. The first time I was disappointed was when I realized how bad the professors were. I always took my high school teachers for granted. How I wish I could have them back. Over 50% of the professors I have had are awful at teaching. In my three years here, I have had 2 teachers that I would rate 5 star. My calc 3 professor mumbled into the board and wrote in an unidentified language. You couldn't even hear him if you sat in the front row. And then when you would ask questions about what he wrote or said, he would get angry. I ended up skipping that class for the rest of the year. I got a student tutor that was better than most professors here. Why am I paying 60k a year to teach myself every subject? I've heard countless forms of "we care about you" from Lehigh. But I haven't ever felt like they do actually care about me. I was in a club and we needed a lot of money and support for our project. Lehigh didn't care. They didn't support us at all. They gave us no guidance, no money , no nothing. They claimed they cared about our safety, but when we needed something to help insure our safety, they didn't help us. The only thing Lehigh seems to care about is money. For a school with such a high endowment, they sure are cheap. I'm sure a lot of people have heard about a petition that was made a little while ago that wanted Lehigh to revoke Donald Trump's honorary degree (I promise this point isn't political). Well, the school would usually decide around October what they want to do on the matter. This time, however, they're pushing back that decision all the way past the holiday season. Why? Because people are more giving during the holiday season. They want to get one last big haul of money before they decide and anger some of their donors. Recently, Lehigh has been cracking down hard on partying. I understand them trying to crack down, but what they're doing now is ridiculous. In the past week or so, two parties were busted where 60 and 20 people were charged with underage drinking. Yeah, it is illegal, but this is overkill. The only thing Lehigh has got going for me is myself. I made my own happiness here. I helped start two clubs, one of which I'm heavily involved in. I made a lot of close friends that range from frat boys to nerds. And most importantly, I met the love of my life. I could honestly go on and write a 5 page essay on why I despise Lehigh, but I gotta go teach myself two subjects I know nothing about.

The LUPD do not take sexual assault seriously. They make no effort to reassure that it won't happen to someone else. Be careful! Walk in groups and night! And report assaults right away to the BETHLHEM police right away if an incident occurs off Camus. The teachers are alright and the campus is heavily focused on Greek life and sports. If your creative and learn differently I suggest going somewhere else.

I took way too many drugs in my time in here to realize anything about this school, but i'm giving them five stars for their good intention.
