We enjoy a respectful, peaceful and serene community. As nighttime falls the sound of crickets chirping and water hitting the shore fill the quiet air.. Although our residents enjoy active and fulfilling lifestyles, we maintain a high level of respect for our neighbors.
Downtown is the heart of Lake Alfred. Themed as a historical business district, there are areas for outdoor events, tree-shaded sidewalks, restaurants with outside seating and more. A general store and café make up the center of the city. The architecture, lighting, and landscaping truly set downtown Lake Alfred apart.
The entire city is buzzing with vast culture. Nearby, the Lavender and Lace Tearoom serves delicious breakfast and brunch options, like the chicken puff pastry and the caprese sandwich. Don’t forget to have a cup of tea and slice of peanut butter pie or hummingbird cake before you go.

The Mackay Gardens and Lakeside Preserve feature an 8,000 square foot residence, with sleeping porches, rising porch columns, open interior spaces and a gorgeous staircase in the main room. The gardens are a lovely winding trip that showcases the very best of nature.

Lake Alfred is just fifteen minutes from Lakeland, where you’ll find unique attractions such as the Florida Southern College and the Architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright, which holds the largest collection of Wright-designed buildings in the world. Also enjoy the Polk Museum of Art, which features collections, changing exhibitions and monthly events.

Less than one hour from Tampa and Orlando, Lake Alfred is a prime location. You can visit Busch Gardens or Adventure Island in a snap. Or shoot up to Orlando to visit Disney World, Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure and many more great attractions.
