I am updating this review and upgrading from 2 stars to 3. Everything below did happen, I am sorry to say. However, after I posted this, they asked me to report to their customer service. And then they followed up and ended up giving an apology and made restitution to my parents. I very much appreciated that. Thank you. 

Faulty new boiler install. Failed twice, second time over New Year's. This time owner asked for different technician. Very cold outdoor temps. Called each day and got many promises, but no one came for 5 days. Gave up on Silver Spring branch and called Baltimore office. They got things moving and got technicians out the same day. These techs discovered that a low-pressure boiler had been installed with high pressure. Now fixed. Very thankful for the Silver Spring techs who fixed the mistake! Install mistake shouldn't have happened, but it was a mistake. Good technicians were a blessing. But uncaring response of Silver Spring phone staff (considering that home owner was clearly identified as elderly trying to keep pipes from freezing with area heaters) is unacceptable. Thank you Baltimore office. Thsnk you to the Silver Spring techs who fixed the problem. But you guys need to straighten out your Silver Spring office staff.

I called Len on 3/2.  The plumber came and basically said, "I don't know what's happening, sorry."  That was $50 (which is fine -- they told me up front).  Later the issue happened again, so I Googled it.  I had to call back and instruct them in how to fix my plumbing issue.  They came back the next day, did what I researched and figured out, and charged me $320 (after a $50 reduction for 3/2's issues).  Not only that, but the plumber couldn't loosen the pipe, so I had to help.  Pretty amateur.

I would give it 0 stars if possible, so the one star goes solely to the person who answered the phone when I called.

We had water in our gas line caused by a water main break which also broke the gas lines in our neighborhood.  After 10 days of no heat or hot water everything was fixed up and we needed a plumber to come out, get the water out of the house lines, and relight our appliances.

The plumber that came out was extremely rude to me and essentially pretended that I didn't exist.  He would only respond to questions and answers from my husband and treated me like a child.  After about 30 minutes of poking around he said that we needed to replace ALL of our pipes over a period of 4-5 days for the cost of $2300 - and that this was the only way to get rid of the water.  

After kicking him out I got a second opinion from a different company, whose plumber cleared our pipes and relit the appliances in 2 hours for $820.  I'm never using this plumbing service ever again.

After purchasing our first home we ran into major plumbing issues within the first 48 hours; it started with a leaky pipe and turned into a massive job after several blockages were found, including a 100% root blockage.  Brian, Trayvon, Kyle, Isidro, and Joe were all AMAZING.  When they were here for various parts of our jobs, each was thorough in their work, knowledgeable, and explained the process to us step-by-step; they were kind and each went above and beyond to help us and get the job(s) done correctly and timely.  The service provided was excellent and we cannot thank these guys enough.  We will continue to use Len the Plumber and these professionals for our plumbing needs and pass their names on to neighbors and friends.

LEN comes out very quickly when you need them. I had them come out 2x to snake the drain.

 However, I did not ultimately hire them to complete the service. The guy who came out with the camera said that I would have to pay $7,000+ to have them replace the pipes because he did not identify what was wrong! After stressing over this, thankfully I was able to get a second opinion. Another gentleman came out, found the problem which was simply clogged toilet paper which he blasted out of the pipe for a grand total of $1250. He took his time to make sure that he fixed the problem before leaving.  

I would encourage anyone going with LEN plumbing to get a second opinion before moving forward. $7,000+ vs $1250 is a HUGE difference. I wouldn't have known how unnecessary that work would've been had I not gotten the second opinion given my lack of knowledge about plumbing.
