I've been going to Cheryl for years after a particularly rough tax year and high tax prep costs somewhere else forced me to look for someone I could trust to keep me out of trouble.  I found someone that could speak my language - 'Did you go to school this year?' -  and didn't waste my time by asking things like "Did you have losses as a foreign entity while operating a railroad this year?".  She understood who I was, what I did for a living and just helped me power through it.  I felt that she really was looking out for me and that I wasn't doing anything "funny".  She's been who I go to every year how and it doesn't take very long as I know what she needs me to bring and she knows what I need done.  Easy.  Sure it's not free or $29 + state submission, but it's done, done right, done fast and gets me back to work - all for 30% less than I paid someone else that I swear hadn't filed their own taxes, ever.

Charged almost $400 for a 1040ez. Did not show us this before or go over it as claimed. They just threw a stake of papers at us to sign. We were attracted by the tax advance, with assurance we would get it in a few hours. But they lied.
