What a wonderful belated birthday evening!!! Top notch drinks, food as well service. Hubby treated me to a belated birthday dinner and drinks as the vault is closed Mondays. We enjoyed the brisket nachos as well as the brisket and chicken tacos. They were all so very tender and delicious. Personally enjoyed multiple drinks which included the horseshoe sling a twist on the Singapore Sling, clover clubs and amaretto sours. Thank you, thank you, thank you, to our favorite bartender Rylan. You made this birthday one to remember. Ten out of ten highly recommend.
We had a fantastic experience here! We happened to be there on Taco Tuesday when prices are discounted on the Mexican food that makes up the menu. It gave us the opportunity to try a variety of options from the menu and we enjoyed everything we tried. The cocktails here are truly artisanal. I literally said," Make me a great gin drink" and a great gin appeared before me - the bartender explained how he created it and it was delicious. I tried the same thing with vodka and even and after dinner drink, and nothing disappointed. And then there's the fact that it is just the coolest space imaginable to spend an evening. Highly recommend!
Really, really cool building and concept. I just didn’t understand the host at the entrance that has you wait until people have left but then they don’t have enough tables or bar stools for the amount of people already inside. It was only their second day being opened and it was extremely busy and I thought the staff did a good job managing all of the people and orders. Drinks were average to me but still a cool place to bring people.
Well we first passed up the building. Once we finally found it there was not a line to get in. Once we were in there was absolutely no seating and we were basically told yes no chairs nothing we can do. So why let people come in with no place to sit? Asked random people for an extra chair and finally got seated. It took almost 15 minutes before someone even come over to ask us what we wanted to drink and even longer to actually get it. Also ordered chicken tacos that were so greasy the tortilla fell apart. The "Sharable" brisket tacos had hardly any food on the plate and was $18. Do not show up hungry. Someone in our party asked for a drink then instantly changed his mind and the waitress said "Are you serious". As if it was so hard for her to write down a different drink. Terrible customer service but very neat scenery. Will not be going back.
Really wanted to love this place but definitely not what I expected. It is a cool concept but the rest of the experience was meh. The drinks were pretty but seemed to be watered down. The bartenders and host seemed snobby. No open seats so not sure the purpose of a host. When a table opened up, nobody cleaned it for 15 mins and then were bothered when we asked them to clean it. Don't think we will be back again.
The concept and location are awesome. It was extremely busy with a very mixed crowd old, young, loud, quite ect. because it was only the second day. This will not be the spot to go crazy, but it will be a good spot to take a date, or just grab a quick drink. The drinks are good, and the food is ok. We tried 3 different items on the food list and I think it was the Tuna Tostada that I didn't understand. It was spicy for no reason. It didn't add to the flavor, so it just seemed pointless for it. The food could be worked on. I can't really speak on how good the bartenders or server was because they were just stretched thin, and were overwhelmed. Over all its a good spot plus they are expanding in a month to another room that is connected allow more people. I'll be back.
I do not want to beat this place up, but for such amazing work done in this entire building, the cocktails were a let down. I plan on going back to try again, but it seemed pricey and with no taste.
Love the setting of the old bank vault. Could use a larger cocktail menu. Okc is in good company... the other location is in NYC.
Love the concept and after seeing videos on social media knew we had to go. Unfortunately, the hostess said they were full. Wasn't given a wait time so we left. Didn't understand why they had a line when from everyone read it was basically standing room inside. Not sure I'll attempt to visit again.
We visited the Library of Distilled Spirits while staying in the National Autograph for a concert and visited the bar both nights we stayed. The mood and ambiance were stunning from the first steps down the stairs to the vault. There was a small wait both nights we visited - occupancy is listed at 62, so it's a small venue. The hostess did a good job of keeping count and we had no issues getting in within 10 minutes. The bar was beautiful, but again it is a small venue so be prepared - this doesn't seem to be the place for a large group, but more for an intimate evening. The seating runs along the perimeter of the bar, with small end tables to place drinks. You may have to sit closer to strangers than you're comfortable with. There is also seating at the bar. A few servers were off the nights we visited, so we found we received drinks quicker when we approached the bar ourselves; otherwise, one or two employees were working the floor and taking orders. We were impressed with the drinks and the bartenders were skilled in their craft. We were served by Tyler, Ryland, and Zach and they were all knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive even though they were very busy. This bar is quite pricey, but I believe if you go in expecting an experience then you will enjoy yourself. It's not a bar to spend hours in with a big group, though. I will recommend this bar to everyone I know, and plan to visit again soon.
