Story

Established in 1944. Liger's Bakery is Montgomery, Alabama's oldest bakery! Near the top of the list in the area's oldest businesses that are still operating today. Many of our clients remember Ligers when it opened in the Normandale Shopping Center, many years ago. We are currently in the Gay Meadows Shopping Center on McGhee Road, and have been at this location several years now. The Davis family purchased Ligers Bakery before Christmas of 2012. Owner Ivy Davis previously had Icing Illusions by Ivy, off the Atlanta Highway, for 8 years, before buying Ligers Bakery. Ivy and her team have made it their goal to bring the "Old Liger's Bakery" back! The one everyone remembers as a child, growing up in Montgomery! We have the original Liger's recipes still in place, that began 70 years ago! Our sweet products, and cakes are baked fresh daily or to order!

We have a full retail bakery store front six days a week! Catering is available by Ligers! We have deli sandwich combos on a daily basis! *The classic Ligers Chicken Salad is an all time favorite!* We do try and attend at least two wedding and event expos a year, and have been featured in many local magazine photo shoots.
