I honestly don't know what experiences everyone else has had.... But I love this office. Everyone is so nice and friendly. The front desk seems nice enough to me. The doctors are wonderful and everyone and easily approachable. I don't normally leave reviews but I feel bad they have bad reviews for being such a wonderful office. So I figured out drop a five star review!
I've been going here for years and I love the providers it's the front staff that make me want to switch practices. I've been rescheduled without being asked multiple times. When I call to ask a question about a prescription or medical concern the staff seem to be rushing me off the phone, being short with me, or telling me they don't know. I called about a script being too expensive and felt like I was being judged for doing so. I feel awkward even speaking to them or trying to be nice because it's always met back with an attitude.
Made an initial appointment and called to ask a question. They rescheduled my initial appointment without asking for the next day. On my way to the appointment they canceled it and were not able to fit me in until the following week, and they rescheduled me for Monday. Upon calling to check on the appointment they told me it was never rescheduled and they would need to cancel my following appointments if I didn’t reschedule the first with them. Extremely unprofessional, being canceled three times in 24 hours. I don’t recommend going to this practice unless you don’t have a job, as changing my schedule around so much in 24 hours was extremely difficult-especially without it ending in an appointment!
This office is the most unprofessional, poorly-managed medical facility I've encountered. I really liked the doctor I saw here and was looking forward to continuing to see her, but unfortunately I will be looking for a new provider as my annual appointment has been cancelled by the office at the last minute 3 or 4 times now. I just received a call at 3:50pm today cancelling my appointment for tomorrow morning. This appointment was originally supposed to happen months ago but has been repeatedly rescheduled. Note that if I had cancelled with less than 24 hours notice I would be subject to fees, but they have no problem wasting my time with impunity.
I really loved my previous Dr at this office, which was Dr Teagarden. She has been my doctor for a couple of years and she did my surgery. When I became pregnant, I was forced to see Dr Durstin and a few others in the practice, who I have nothing against; they were all really nice. I would just prefer to see the doctor that I have been seeing for the last few years. The front desk staff is really unprofessional and seems confused all the time, almost as if this information is not in my records. They do not give test results to the doctors the day of appointments. During my last visit, my doctor asked me if I had a glucose test and what the results were. I had the test done in the office, shouldn’t this information have been in my file. Also, when I had my initial pregnancy visit, I had labs done. During the second visit, they drew the same labs again and only realized after I asked what they were for that I had already had them. Edit:: I just received a call from the practice manager. She was really nice and addressed my concerns. She scheduled my next few visits with Dr Teagarden. I really appreciated her following up.
The front desk staff have been consistently unfriendly, and I didn't love the doctor I was seeing for prenatal care, but those things aren't necessarily dealbreakers. The primary issue I have with this office is that I've had multiple billing problems with this provider and each time, the billing department has been nasty and wholly unhelpful towards me. I switched providers because I found the midwifery care model to be a better fit for me, and this office insisted on billing my last two appointments as specialist visits rather than prenatal care visits, meaning that I had to pay an exorbitant copay for each of them. My insurance company couldn't compel them to change the billing code, even though these visits were exactly the same type of prenatal care I'd received in the past, and if I'd never told the office that I was switching care providers, it seems that these visits would have been billed appropriately as regular prenatal care as well. The billing department employee showed downright contempt towards me from the minute I asked her about these bills, and communications with her only worsened from there. Even if she couldn't give me the answer I needed, there was simply no reason to treat me so badly. I've held many customer service positions myself and would never speak to a customer the way she spoke to me.
I had the worst experience the first time i was pregnant i thought i would give them a second chance my second go around but they still can’t seem to be professional or organized
Been going here for about 20 years. Never had an issue until these recent few years. The doctors are the only reason I stay; front staff is extremely rude & frequently mess up appointment dates! 2nd time this month I’ve had a scheduled appointment they entered wrong or just didn’t enter at all! It’s probably time I move on! Sorry Dr. Durstin, you’re wonderful but dealing with the staff & not getting my appointments appropriately scheduled isn’t worth the trouble.
The doctors themselves are sweet, however the staff is rude and never seem to know what's going on. They messed up on paperwork for a blood test, so I had to wait another week before I got the results. Then I miss an appointment close to Christmas due to icy weather conditions so I didn't get to call them back for a few days to reschedule and they threatened to report to my insurance that I was a non compliant patient for not rescheduling right away. Absolutely horrible staff and no manners among them. I recommend looking elsewhere.
I’m new in town and have had only great experiences here so far. The staff is very helpful and the doctors I’ve seen so far have been fantastic! Excited to have them during my first pregnancy.
