Enjoy all the trappings of a sandy beach without having to leave north Dallas. This is the largest man-made beach in the southern US. It's got volleyball courts, lake swimming with cool currents in the hot summer, plenty of people having fun on their boats, ice cream trucks, people from all over come here. Definitely worth checking out. I imagine it will be crazy over Labor Day.

This is an awesome place to spend the day with your family. We brought the kids for an impromptu visit and they loved it. You definitely need to bring umbrellas for shade and a cooler with drinks to stay hydrated. They have a little shop where you can by food, sunblock and a few other items. It's very clean and they don't charge to park. You need to get there early to find parking.

Beautiful little beach, the pavilions are nice. As long as you can get past all the soccer mom's thinking they own the place and just park where ever they want holding up traffic then you're good. Get there early.

I can't believe that places like this exist in today's world.  Little Elm took a slice of the lake and turned it into a beach.  A legitimate beach, at a lake in Texas!  There are sand volleyball courts, free life jackets for the little ones, and a roped off swimming area (did I mention it is a beach?).  A full concession stand, picnic area, and an awesome playground round out what is a great place to spend a summer day.  Oh yeah, the kicker:  It is FREE!  No admission whatsoever.  Kudos to Little Elm for putting together  a fantastic place for kids and adults to hang out.

Love this park! I've spent many years here, and the town has done an absolutely phenomenal job on not only maintaining, but improving, as well! Not to mention all the great events that are held here! Paddleboard competitions at the beach, the fall festival each year, and the Christmas festivities! So much fun!
