Hot pot is a good date meal since you can easily linger over it and there's always a different combination to try. The Black Bone Chicken stock is our clear favorite to build upon. Little Q also does the "standard" Chinese menu items, if that's what you're in the mood for; those are well prepared but not up to the standard of, say, Mary Chung's.

My first few times here were fun. But then, not so fun tonight when the hot pot cooking spoons kept falling into the pots. The food was very bland and overpriced.

They serve tasty side dishes, the meat, rice, noodles, and broths are delicious, and the vegetables are super fresh. It's not a huge place with maybe about 10 tables, so it's best for a group of 6 or fewer. It's open later than most other places in that area which is nice. The hot pot itself is sectioned off into two, so it's easy to avoid whatever ingredients are put into the other section.

Good food and decent portions. The 2 servers seemed very busy tending to a full house. I felt customer service suffered because of it. Not at all overly expensive. Wine and beer available.

I am very fond of the black bone chicken broth option for hot pot. There are combo options ideal for solo dining as well as a big selection of a la carte sides.
