They have the best grenade cocktail that comes in a plastic, lime green cup and a little souvenir grenade thrown inside. Price is $11.00 and you can have it on the rocks or frozen. Excellent bartender! Worked the line fast as this was during Mardi Gras, Saturday night.
My aunt and I went in for drinks. We got the grenade. My gosh it was strong but good. Wasn't many people in there but people were coming in and out. That one drink got me tipsy. It was $11. Definitely worth the money.
The hand grenade drink is super sweet and tasty without neglecting the alcohol content! I don’t usually enjoy alcohol, but this is the right drink for someone like me. The hand grenade comes in a souvenir-like tall plastic cup with a mini grenade at the top that you can throw into the baskets hanging in the bar. Due to that, this bar can get a bit sticky and crowded.
Had to try one and so glad I did! It packs a lovely little punch.
Arrived in New Orleans and this was the 1st bar I randomly went in to. And I’m glad I did have been back every night in passing GET OUT OF THE WATER!! Shark Attacks = great drink and a bit of fun. hand Grenades were awesome especially the frozen ones.
My first time visiting New Orleans “NOLA” and tried the Hand Grenade at Tropical Isle right on Bourbon street. It is strong and comes in a grenade shaped plastic glass and its long and you can carry it along with you while walking outdoors. It was great. You get an option of selecting either Frozen or with ice or a small or a large one.
All over bourbon Street, so a little generic and dirty, but the staff was nice and hand grenades are very boozy.
Awesome drinks to walk to down Bourbon St with! Staff was nice as well
My husband was dead set on getting a hand grenade drink in New Orleans after seeing Jovi, from 90 Day Fiance drink one on the show. I have zero recollection of seeing this drink or knowing anything about it. I'm not one for novelty drinks because I live in Las Vegas and those places are a dime a dozen. My husband was adamant that we try it so we ended up sharing one. They're $11 and according to my husband, you can get a $1 refill. Is that true? The drink tastes a bit like melon. I'm a super lightweight when it comes to alcohol but I was fine sharing this drink. Definitely not overtly strong like some people in other reviews have mentioned. The drink comes with a tiny plastic hand grenade on top. Unfortunately the French Quarter is littered with these little plastic pieces. It would be good if they changed this to an ice cube or got rid of it all together. NOLA is slowing going back to the ocean, we could all do with less single use plastic that is going straight to a landfill.
Atmosphere was intoxicating and the drinks were strong. I needed to get a hand Grenade while walking bourbon and I'm glad we stopped. Drink was nice and strong and got us through the night. Great place and great music.
