I hired Livingston Storage and Transfer Company to move me from Columbus, GA to Indiana through Mayflower. I am a 78 yr old lady and used to companies trying to take advantage of me. This company was honest, helpful and very accommodating. Mr Yancey was always available to answer any concerns I had and the same gentlemen to pack, load and deliver my household goods and I had a 3/4 truck load. They did not overcharge me on delivery and there was no damage to my property. Kevin and his helpers were friendly, courteous and efficient. They met all the timetables they gave me and arrived at my destination on time. They worked hard unloading and placed boxes and furniture in each location as requested. They worked fast and carefully. I would certainly use them again. Thank you all for giving me such peace of mind on this move. I was very worried at first because I have had some bad experiences, but had only good experiences with you and your company.

To respond to the complaint here about livingston, i have never worked for this company in particular but i am in the military moving industry for another company and as entitled and informed as you may think you are...your not. The unpack you claim we get payed taxdollars for.. we dont get payed a cent extra for. And the inspectors that "monitor contractor control" are: look at that card....contractors. Other things that we dont make a extra cent on: Long Carry (doesnt matter if its half a mile down the road) Stair Carry (Third floor and no elevator? awesome!) Extra Bulk (Want that grand piano in your 3rd floor apartment? sweet!) Shuttle (Have to downstack your load to put on a smaller truck because you decided to live in the middle of a jungle that a semi wont fit) Extended periods of time (we dont get paid hourly) Full Assembly (You want your 78 piece custom german shrunk put together with no instructions? No Prob!) Dealing with your pets/kids that run in front of us every 30 seconds posing a hazard to them and us. Southern Humidity: Its 95 degrees outside and were running up and down your stairs toting the aforementioned shrunk and you have the AC turned off, god forbid you waste 6 dollars so we dont have a heat stroke. Pest: Bomb your basement if you live in older houses on post, No one in our company was originaly in Starship troopers and knows the precedure to battle massive roaches and spiders. And most important of all Dealing With YOU: We are people too, we will treat your things with as much respect as you show us, leaning over us the entire day to make sure were not stealing something is not respectable, we are screened with a VERY thorough background check very often. That "one story" you heard from your neighbors wifes friends roommate about someone they knew that has their xbox stolen..Its mostly untrue BS, im not saying theft hasn't happened but theft happening stateside is very very very rare. Keeping your things you are taking yourself together helps as well as we don't appreciate you asking us to open boxes we have already inventoried and sealed. stuff your Direct TV boxes, carry on baggage, and the microwave your giving to your 3rd cousin twice removed in a empty closet or bathroom and tell us. When delivering your HHG we are only required to move it once, this means if you decide to put the old entertainment center we already placed in the living room in the "mancave" then its at our discretion which usually depends on your attitude into the move thus far, Leave you holier-than-thou "im a soldier/soldier wife" attitude at home, you dont deserve any more respect than we do but we have a job to do and on a completely personal level, we don't owe you anything, Private or General doesnt matter we have moved all ranks and we show no more distinction either way.

Ignore the reviews on the actual website since they are obviously fabricated by someone within the company. This was definitely not my first experience with a moving company contracted by the military and I'm familiar to customer service due to my pre-military job experiences. I completely understand that during moves it may be inevitable for some of your house hold goods to get damaged especially when they have been moved overseas as was my case, but this Company definitely went beyond those simple issues. My personal items were moved in during the course of one day and my wife and I decided to provide the gentlemen with lunch to try to provide a friendly and grateful atmosphere. Once the movers finished eating (none of them said thanks) they left their unfinished food and paper plates/cups lying all over the house. After that, they all consistently complained about the fact that we had asked the to unpack about 70% of the boxes. Amidst complaints, they spent the next proceeding hours trying to convince us that we would want to do it ourselves to be better organized because they obviously wanted to leave and didn't want to put fourth the extra effort. Keep in mind that is a service that they are being paid with by taxpayer dollars to do. Once all items were moved in and unpacked, I spent approximately 30 minutes attempting to fill out the proper paperwork according to items that had been damaged. During this time, one of the gentlemen asked me 8 times if I was finished yet and several times that the items I was attempting to claim were "no big deal". These items included but were not limited to chips/scratches/dents in night stands, coffee table, desk, beds and several electronics. Our queen sized bed frame was cracked, cracked dishes, and several missing items from our kitchenware. (To name a few) The movers had also caused several damages to our newly rented home. Several tiles were broken off of the front porch and another was cracked beyond repair. They also scratched/dented entry way framework and left carpet stains in the livingroom and bedroom from some kind of an ash or coal that was on a gentleman's boots. My wife has tried to clean these stains several times, but cleaning them only causes them to smear and cause a bigger stain. I brought up these damages and the movers told me that there was no type of claims form that I could fill out and that there was no immediately available satisfaction survey. They said to call the dispatcher for the company and scratched his phone number onto a piece of scratch paper stating that would be a good place to start. The gentlemen left without further care of the damages to my home. To make this long story short... it has been two and a half weeks and the company refuses to return my phone calls and I am still no closer to having the damages to my home addressed. I have left four messages, two of which were left for the part-owner of the Company. (Not to mention his secretary practically hung up on my wife) The Army doesn't handle claims to the actual rental home, so it therefore has to be handled personally. Our realtors have told us that unless the Company reimburses us or fixes the damages that we will be held financially responsible. I found out that there is a statute of limitations on damages done by the movers and that is most likely why they are trying to prolong the process of it being taken care of. I will continue to call the Company and leave ignored voicemails. I have been degraded to having to leave on-line reviews in hoping this won't happen to any of the other members of our Military. I guess the next step is to go down to the Company and make myself look like a jerk. It is sad that a Company like this probably treats other members of the Armed Forces this way hundreds of times a month and nothing has been done about it. This message has been copied to give to the Transportation Office and the Fort Benning officials who monitor contractor quality control.
