I've been here twice for dinner and absolutely loved it. Friendly staff and great food! I requested one of their Nashville Hot Chicken tacos as a burrito and they went out of their way to make it just how I wanted. Will definitely be returning!Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: YesTakeout: Yes
Good tacos. Would recommend 2-3 tacos for adults or 1-2 tacos with a side. Chips are self serve. Policy is to seat yourself. Really like that they have avaliable parking.
We love this place- especially the chicken flautas and the deep fried cookie. There have been some issues of course with things being in stock and staffing, but none of that is the employee’s’ responsibility. The employees are always friendly.
Good food and service. I wouldnt really qualify this as a mexican restaurant though. More like an american mexican fusion or something.. american food with mexican influence... They have no idea what a birria taco is so that was disappointing. No horchata. No al pastor. The queso was really good. Dont get a normal taco like a steak or something basic, or you will be disappointed. The hong kong phooey i think was may favorite that i tried. Thanks for the food guys, but I'm still out looking for an authentic mexican place with the proper basics.
Hubby and I picked the "Local Cantina" to have dinner with friends from out of state. We helped ourselves to some chip and sausa, place are order, but then no drinks brought out to the table..... ate the chips, still no drinks. The waitress walked by twice, the third time we were able to asking about are drinks, two coke, one diet coke, and a lemonade, she politely told us that we would have to wait on our drinks since there was no clean cups to serve them in. May i add this was during dinner time hours on a Sunday five'ishand there wasn't even a large crowd of people. I can tell you that the food was delicious and O yes, our drinks did arrive to quence are thirst. As for our waitress she was very attentive during the remaning dinner, with more clean drinking cup filled to the top.
We had our son’s rehearsal dinner catered by Local Cantina Catering. They did a wonderful job and everyone enjoyed the food. We had more than enough. The set up was quick and easy and we did not have to return anything to them. I would highly recommend them for catering any day.
date night this week took me to a place where my date had never been: local cantina. i had only been there once but had nothing but good things to say. well, this second visit to a different location solidly confirms everything i said about them. service was INCREDIBLE. we never struggled to get anything for our dinner. they were incredibly attentive and fast. we didn't even wait that long for our food. the aesthetic is spot on too. the grove city location is plenty roomy so no worries about feeling cramped, plus the outdoor seating is a nice touch, though we didn't use it. as for the food. well. it speaks for itself. a menu with varied tastes, a taco of the week, and plenty of options for any palate or stomach size. i got the Colorado burrito because their green chile sauce is just aces. thick, packed with fillings, and sided with endless chips. i opted for queso and refried beans which is an upcharge over the basic tomato salsa option, with their house lager to drink. and it was amazing. bursting with flavor, i couldn't stop myself from wrecking the entire thing. by the way, i didn't get it myself this time, but you ABSOLUTELY must get the street corn when you're here. it is the gleaming gold standard for street corn. and check out their tequila options as well. oh, and i absolutely must note that this is an LGBTQ+ friendly environment, which means i will be back with my friends.
My family has eaten here since before the pandemic. The last 2 times we have ordered from there have gotten subpar tacos. All tortilla and no fillings. Especially when the Carne asada tacos are $4.50. increased their price with less service. In house dining is painfully slow. Such a shame to see a once awesome place go down hill.
This place was really good! Plenty of seating, including outdoors. It was a warm fall day so all the doors were open. The food was great and so was the service. When our server went on break, another server was right there checking on us. Very enjoyable experience.Food: 5/5
The atmosphere and music were really good and my waitress was super nice! However, when my food came not only was it slightly wrong but also not very warm. The tacos here are not worth $5 per taco.Food: 2/5
