Today May 13, 2021 we had Loggins Roofing come in and start putting on New Weatherwood Shingles. They started at 7am this morning even though it was a little cool. We have 9 guys on the roof working like there is no tomorrow. They have removed the old shingles and replaced a few bad boards all before 10 o'clock. Now they have started with new shingles, new rubber boots around vent pipes, new flashing around the skylight and chimney. They are cleaning, repairing and replacing without slacking up on the job. This day and time it's been almost unheard of or seen that you can find a group that starts a job and continuously works without stopping. Sitting here in the house my wife and I are listening to the constant sounds of hammering and generator running to supply air to the nail guns. They took a short lunch break around 12 o'clock and then started to work on the backside. The generator and air compressor is running again the nail guns are making that tap, tap, tap, tap rhythm across the back side of the house. The cat has went into hiding because he is not sure what all this noise is and when it will be safe to come out. The dogs are okay with it and just laying down, except for Tinnie she still gives out a bark and keeps an eye on them. They finished the flashing around the skylight and chimney, plus installed the four rubber boots on the vent pipe. They cleaned up all the trash and run magnets all over the yard to pickup the roofing nails. They put the gutter guards back in place and finished up around 5:45 pm. Very impressed with the work from the first visit with the estimate and for the roofing work from start to finish. Plus very happy with the color of shingles that was installed and the new ridge cap. This new ridge cap should help with ventilation in the attic and should extend the life of the shingles.
