Get free, personal help with your family history and genealogical research at the Los Angeles Family History Library.
The Los Angeles Family Search Library was established in 1964 to service the needs of citizens of the Los Angeles metropolitan area. Have you ever wondered about your family history, whether your great-great grandmother went to medical school or your great-uncle was a horse thief? Come into the library to use one of our 129 computers to gain free access to everything on Ancestry.com and obtain help from the many knowledgeable genealogy consultants. You can also learn more by attending one of the genealogy classes offered.
Non-members are welcome and there is no charge for facility use. About 60% of those coming to the library are not members of the Church. Our library has one of the largest holdings of any branch in the Family History Library System of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We have access to the 2.4 million microfilms in the Salt Lake City Family Search Library. We will provide patrons with the tools and expertise to assist in genealogical research and discovery of family history.
