Los Cuates

About

At Los Cuates, we’re not one of those restaurants that gauges the quality of food by its hotness. For over 35 years, we’ve been serving New Mexican cuisine

Story

Come in to one of our four Albuquerque locations and try our chips and salsa – we guarantee you’ve never tried salsa like this.
Enjoy our hacienda-style ambiance while savoring our menu of always-fresh authentic New Mexico classics. Our signature dish is the chile relleno. Each carefully selected Anaheim chile pepper is peeled, stuffed and roasted daily in our kitchen. And nobody can compete with our batter, not too doughy and never greasy. We should warn you, they’re very addicting.
If you’re feeling adventurous, you can try one of our award-winning special features that take New Mexican food to new frontiers. Some of our chef’s recent concoctions include southwestern calamari and a seafood enchilada with spinach cream sauce. Whether you’re in the mood for something traditional or experimental, at Los Cuates there’s something for everyone.
We’re a local favorite not just because of our tasty food, but the great value we offer. Weighing-in at 6 oz, our tamale is the biggest in town. Our rib eye with enchilada special is loved for a reason, while our taco, enchilada, relleno and tamale combo platter is only $12.95. We invite you to compare, and then have a seat and enjoy the best deal in Albuquerque. No matter what you try, you’ll end up plenty full and satisfied: all of our entrees come with a chips & salsa and sopaipillas. No room for dessert…ask for extra forks and split one.
If your lunch or evening calls for a drink, you’ll love our bar. We’ve got the best margaritas in town. Try our unique house bend or choose from one of the many margarita flavors we serve. If you prefer your tequila straight up, ask about our top shelf liquor specials. We usually have shots of Patron, Jimador, Herradura or other premium brands for as little as $6.95.
Our food is so good, you’ll want us to cater your big event. We offer big portions at a great price and, best of all, we let you create your own menu. Most other restaurants have only very limited catering options but not us. We’ll let you customize your order and give you a lot of bang for your buck.
We’re proudly locally owned since 1980. Many other restaurants and national chain eateries have come and gone in that time, and we’re still one of Albuquerque’s favorite places to eat. Come in and find out why.

We live in the far NE heights of Albuquerque. We love to come to this modern newer restaurant. The one located on Lomas is nice but gets very crowded. The food is always so good as always. Thank you servers, you all kept our drinks full and were very courteous. We will be back again.

Wasn't crowded when I visited sever just paid attention enough to get our order and then vanished. Someone else brought our food didn't refill our drinks. Food was decent nothing to brag about. Maybe on different day service will be better.

Been here several times. Great place for a quick lunch as it isn't too busy and service is fast. Dinner can get busy with a bit of wait on weekends. The nachos are great and can feed several people.
