We had a girls night dinner here and it was delicious. We sat outside and it was quite busy! The drinks were tasty and not overly sweet. The food came out in waves and each dish better than the last. We really enjoyed the corn grits and the grilled octopus. I think we shared a total of 8-10 dishes between the 4 of us. Service was also great.
Fantastic elevated Mexican food. Compelling sourcing story, service was spot on, food was fantastic and I mean everything, the flavor combinations were great and each had a highlight flavor/tone. You can tell they pay attention to detail and manage to execute the dishes to perfection. Be mindful it is a small menu. Will be coming back
The food is excellent and we shared and all enjoyed the guacamole, fresh chips, Al pastor tacos, spicy pork sausage and fish grilled in banana leaves. The white sangria disappointed. Concept is good, ambiance nothing special, service was very good. Would go again and recommend to others. The Michelin star is a mystery though as it does not seem to be in that league.
We had an amazing night! We loved the flavors of the sauces and the hot and fresh chips and guacamole were the perfect start to our meal! My husband LOVED the Margarita, Octopus dish, and Pork Cheek Carnitas! The service was exceptional and we cannot wait to come back!
We stopped by on a Sunday night without having a reservation, the hostess graciously suggested we wait at the bar while she tried to accommodate us. The place was filled with people and all of the tables seemed to be reserved. We were lucky to finally get a table for two. It was worth the wait. The Michellin took us by surprise as prices are not expensive at all. Food was delicious from appetizers to dessert. The menu is limited but everything we had was just fantastic. They take pride in their ingredients and it shows in the presentation and explanation. Service was fabulous. It’s a small place so I suggest to make reservation to avoid a long wait. We will come back soon.
Wow, delicious stuff, really wonderful flavors. Very happy we tried this place. Small, cute space with good service. We had the following: Frida spritz was great, well balanced with a surprisingly tasty dried orange garnish. Nice touch. Sangria Felix was very light, enjoyable. Guacamole with the homemade corn chips was outstanding. The little salsas were diverse in taste. Highly recommend if you enjoy guacamole. Pork cheek carnitas. Incredible. Was recommended to us by our waiter as what they are known for and I can see why. Very solid dish of flavorful carnitas. Would get again. Al pastor tacos. I was curious what a great Al pastor might taste like and was pretty happy with the result. Delicious! Savory and heavy meat balanced with chunks of pineapple. BUT next time I’ll try more of the menu items that are more unique to this venue. Tuna tartare was solid. I love me some tuna, but since it is mostly tuna with an emulsion and some caviar, I may recommend trying something else they specialize in personally.
I've eaten at Pujol and Quintonil in CDMX so I had high expectations for high end Mexican dining. Los Felix comes very close to that mark without being pretentious. Most of the dishes are small plates so you can create your own tasting menu by ordering a lot of plates. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal which made the long drive worth it. Lastly, the attentiveness of the staff is equal to any Michelin star establishment.
Amazing food and drinks. The staff was very attentive and as friendly as can be. The music is great and its not overpriced for the great quality of food. We will be definitely be coming back, great atmosphere.
The food is delicious. The Colombian tamal at a Mexican restaurant was refreshing because Colombian tamales should be the norm. The service was great. The sidewalk is blah. The wine list has good hidden gems. Michelin? MaybeFood: 4/5
Soooo delicious. This concept is amazing. Each dish is thoughtful and elevated. It’s not your typical Mexican food, it’s better. I make my own tortillas from masa at home so I can appreciate a great taco establishment when I see one. This is the spot!!!!! Can’t wait to see how the menu changes and evolves with the seasons and over time. Thanks for great food Los Felix!!!
