I have attended the hospital since 2010, all around glad to have the VA. They are prompt on every check in process. Only complaint, they will some times write the wrong prescription for me even though i get the same meds every month for 7 yrs they will still write the wrong strength or even wrong med at times. ALWAYS check your script when you pick up or as they mail out.

With the exception of one PA in Parkersburg, WV and one doctor at Clarksburg VA hospital, care has been great. I was able to get both the people mentioned removed from being my PCPs. The VA hospital at Clarksburg, WV has been great. I really can't imagine better care, anywhere.

Despite the fact that noone is ever 100% happy with the medical treatment or hospitals being fair for a goverment based system this hospital does its best to provide the best care and treatment availble. I have no complaints and if used the support programs offered thru this facility are tremendously effective.

It is no doubt that our country faces such high percentage of PTSD vets suicide victims with facilities such as this one. My brother went to the ER because his psychologists told him he needed to be admitted into the psych ward. After more than 5 hours waiting he walked out more depressed and frustrated than before. The staff were unbothered by his request to be attended, rude, and uncaring. I called the ER to try to get someone to provide him assistance but the girl on the other line didn't seem to know another phrase other than, "I don't know".  This place is a joke! We will transfer him to a facility where he can receive the help he desperately needs. Our military men & women are not just your test subjects, or your bill payers! Shame on you!

I can not speak for other VA hosp. Clarksburg, WV is a blessing from god.
