"Over twenty-five years ago, the Louisiana Supreme Court established the Louisiana Attorney Disciplinary Board LADB, which became the first attorney disciplinary system in the nation to incorporate the American Bar Association’s Model Rules for Disciplinary Enforcement, the hallmark of which is the use of non-lawyers in the disciplinary process.LADB is tasked with the responsibility of investigating all allegations of lawyer misconduct and making recommendations to the Court when discipline is warranted. The agency consists of a statewide board, hearing committees, disciplinary counsel, and administrative staff appointed by the board and disciplinary counsel."

My experience with the Louisiana Attorney Disciplinary Board was excellent.  I had an issue with an attorney conduct and they did an exceptional job with assisting me with the issue I had with a local attorney.  I believe its the expectation that one may have, that might cloud their opinions and reviews.  Though I was assisted, they did disclosed their limitations on what to expect.  I was very pleased with the assistance I received and they get 5 stars from me.  Thank you guys!!!

I contacted the Baton Rouge office of the ODC to speak with one of the attorneys note: I am not the subject of any complaint.  I identified myself and was forwarded to voice mail for the assistant of the ODC attorney handling a complaint that is eight years old.  When I asked for the mailing address/email address for the attorney, the receptionist ? refused to provide any way to write to the attorney; a voice mail was my only option other than to write to the main office of ODC. Still waiting for a reply.

USELESS.  OODC enables unethical attorneys to continue to take advantage and wrong clients. The only time they bring charges against a attorney is if a attorney takes the clients money and performs no service or a DWI something outrageous. Look at their numbers, they receive thousands of complaints a year and only a few hundred are disciplined. Their mission statement is to protect the public instead they protect the attorney which is a real disgrace because a lot of these attorneys do great harm to innocent people who trusted them and the OODC does a real disservice to the public. even attorneys will tell you they are pathetic don't waste your time they are not going to do them anything. You are being victimized twice both times by people who were supposed to help.

Attended the 2018 free LADB CLE in Lafayette. Very informative and GREAT speakers!

Lazy and disrespectful staff members. They do not care what happens to you at the hands of someone else.
