"Our story begins in a Russian orphanage in 2001. Ourdaughter Lera came to us through adoption and requirednumerous brain surgeries to control her epilepsy. As she grew, cognitive issues and challenges were met with a strong will and mantra “I won’t ever give up!”Our coffee shop and bakery, Love, Lera, follows that same mantra “NEVER GIVE UP.” We have created this business specifically to give our daughter and other special needs adults meaningful work, a sense of pride, and the opportunity to live out their dreams. While there are other coffee shops and bakeries ours is dedicated to great quality items produced and sold by great quality people proving we “can never give up” on our hopes and dreams."

I have been looking around the area for a bakery that makes good breads, search is over. My go to is Love Lera, excellent breads hard rolls and pastries. The scones are terrific, their Italian bread is now on my Friday schedule, must go and pick up a loaf..... Now the breads and pastries are excellent, but what makes this spot a must go is that the people who work there are, warm, wonderful and pleasant , this is truly a bakery with a special mission of" never give up".

I ordered a birthday cake for my sons birthday. They did good job decorating the cake to a paw patrol theme and the cake was very tasty.

EMBARRASSING SERVICE! Went in today with my 2 year old daughter. She picked out a couple cookies and a brownie which came to about $9. They refused our service as apparently they have a made up $15 minimum for credit cards which is illegal by the way because it “costs us and arm and a leg.” As a result I had to leave the store with my crying 2 year old daughter. Will never go back there again. You should be ashamed.

Wonderful group of people running this place. The pastries are superb and the bread is amazing! The Asprelli family have something really wonderful here.

Not only do they bake amazing pastries, everyone that works there are super friendly. A gem in North Haven.

Love Lera bakery has a wonderful story behind it.  Devoted to their daughter Lera the owners provide a place of achievement for those with special needs.  We stopped in today and purchased breads and pastries that are out of this world.  The owners , the Asperrilles, I hope I spelled it correctly, are wonderful people and devoted to their cause.  May God bless this venture and bring great success to this family.

Just had some olive bread. Oh my, I could not stop eating it. I saved it to have with our pasta & salad this week. So delicious !  Jan

Love the mission and cozy storefront. The 40 cupcakes I ordered were delicious, well presented, and ready earlier than I asked. The team even helped me carry them out to my car. Highly recommended!

Excellent bakery with an excellent mission. The ricotta cookies are my favorite ever! Definitely stop in!

Lera’s Triple Chocolate Chip cookies are amazing! You definitely have to try the mascarpone brownies. :  Thanks Ernie for a great cappuccino! Can’t wait to go back.
