I am making the rounds, posting on every site I can find because I genuinely LOVE Lucid's business model, their honesty, and their results.

If you are looking for an agency you can trust to put your interests first, with experts to guide you through the whole process who are immediately accessible: THIS! IS! IT!  You will save a ton of money, a ton of time, and get great service along the way.  Do yourself a favor, google their website, read why you should choose them, and then DO IT.

I called Lucid looking for an honest agent to act on our behalf as buyers.  I ended up talking directly to Gary, one of Lucid's founders.  He was extremely helpful, informative, and responsive.  Within a few hours I had heard from our new agent, Denise Mitchell.  From then through to the end, she was always easily available, helpful, and informative.  I have zero complaints.  In our tours of houses, she was honest in her appraisals and feedback.  She was proactive in giving advice about the process, and was even willing to keep our 2-year old daughter entertained so we could focus on the properties.  She was easily available to reach, and very responsive and timely.  (Also super nice!)

I contacted Lucid because my wife and I were looking for a new house, and I had narrowed the search online using sites like Zillow, Trulia, etc. to a small handful of candidate homes.  I'm a DIY kind of person, so I was willing to do most of the leg-work myself, but the idea of navigating such a large purchase without guidance made my wife very nervous.  The problem was, in my research I had discovered that the agent who helps you buy a house gets paid by splitting a commission with the seller's agent (normally about 5% of the sales price.)  I wasn't exactly looking forward to paying someone nearly $5000 or more (2.5% of the average Illinois sales price of $194,908) when all we needed was a tour of the houses and some guidance through the purchase process.  After some research, I found Lucid.  They had the option to pay by the hour, which I leaped at.  I ended up saving nearly 90% of what I would have paid with a traditional agency.  (Our attorney was very impressed by the rebate...)

I bought two investment properties through Lucid. Denise was very knowledgeable and diligent throughout the process. I could count on her that she was always on my side and worked for the best of my interest. I highly recommend her.

We worked with Gary for buying our very first home. He was amazing and extremely patient. We looked for apartments back in 2014 with Gary but dropped out due to personal reasons but when we started looking again in 2015 we knew Gary was the only realtor we wanted helping us. He was patient with us and gave great advice. He has been doing this for a while so he knows Chicago better than any real estate agent I know. As an architect I was specific and very detail oriented so he had his job cut out for him but he was patient and found us the perfect apartment in downtown. And Gary was there to guide us through all the processes until closing. We are extremely happy with service provided by Lucid realty. We had the pleasure of working with Denise for one of the showing when Gary was out of town and she was great to work with too. Thank you guys for helping us find our first apartment.
