The Lucky Duck Café is an American comfort food casual dining restaurant in Taylor, Texas. We opened May 19, 2015, in the old International Harvester building just off Main Street in the historic district. Our locally-owned family restaurant offers something tasty for everyone including burgers, catfish, shrimp, chicken fried steak, salads and a variety of vegetarian and gluten free options. We pride ourselves on providing delicious food, fast and friendly service, at a fair price!

The whole idea behind comfort food is to nourish the body and the spirit – to soothe and bring cheer. Our food and atmosphere are created with that in mind. In addition to being a great place to dine and connect with friends and family, please consider us to host your next special occasions or business meetings in our party room. It is sort of a self serve place. You get your menu, go to the order counter, make your order and pay and they take your name. When your order is ready, you go get it. No table service. Drink gets low, get up and get your refill. The prices are moderately high. $10 for a small (4 oz) chicken fried steak and sides. They make the steak look large by making it very thin. Not a place I would frequent on a regular basis but there are no waitresses to bother you either. Plastic utensils and plates. The food was ok but nothing to crow about.

Lucky Duck has amazing food and friendly service. You can enjoy a cold beer with your meal if you choose and they even offer a few select wines. After your meal, there is an ice cream shop right next door that serves Blue Bell.

I had the chili Pie. It was not bad at all. Good flavor. But for over $7.... You'd think it would be bigger than you'd find at a highschool football game. Just my opinion. But the food taste good.

First time here. Not bad. Didn't expect my salad to be served on a Styrofoam plate. Chicken could have been of better quality. Need to go back and try some other dishes and check out the ice cream parlor.
