I love hiking the trail around the pond very much and try to hike it every week. It's an easy, dirt trail, with no hills, and you can see wildlife and views of the pond as you hike. You have to watch out for cyclists, who don't always keep an eye out for you, or people who don't leash their dogs, but that's true on any trail. There are several spots on the trail that get muddy or form large puddles after it rains which I really wish were filled in with gravel or something. It takes me about 2 hours to get all the way around the pond walking at a decent pace and is about 6 1/2 miles or so. The rest of the park is beautiful too, with camping areas, playground for kids, boat rentals, fishing spots, pavilions for picnics, camps for kids, zip line course, disc golf course, football field area, baseball diamonds, a dog park and more. Lums Pond is close to me so I get to enjoy it often. I love this park.

Great hiking trails! They also have a leash free dogs section that is right on the pond, an ideal place for someone to take their dog swimming. There are also places where you can rent kayaks or canoes and go zip lining. Beautiful location.

Good park, great shower facilities! Park is laid out well with good space between sites. Great bike riding for beginner or experienced. Definitely a couple bumpy, narrow rides but very fun.

Nice park. Park rangers are another story. They abuse their power by writing tickets over insignificant things. They will even peek through your car windows while you are away. Also, make sure your annual state park pass sticker is "properly affixed" to your windshield.

Very pretty and lots of wildlife. We saw turtles in the pond, lots of different kinds of birds, snakes, and butterflies. It was recommended that we not swim in the pond though.
