The hospitality from the staff at this North Shore resort is incredible! They seem to be always going the extra step to make you feel at home :) We came here for a wedding tour to see if we would like our wedding venue here. I have to say I was already leaning towards this place for location itself, beautiful Lake Superior and the fall colors! But what really sold us was the staff. They continuously went above and beyond our entire 5 day stay. Whether it was the front desk, dining service, event coordinator, and every one in between! The food was amazing! My fiance is a professional chef and it was important to him to have high quality food for our wedding day. The food here exceeded our expectations! The final touch was how eco conscious the resort is. Very important to me to see the steps they take here to minimize their footprint! Super happy with our choice to book our wedding here!!

Classic family friendly resort right on the shore of Lake Superior. Skiing is easy with shuttle bus service, front door to steps from the gondola. a great vibe lobby with live music both the Saturday and Sunday we were there. Bring your wine or snacks or get some in the Pub and sit and relax with your family and friends, chat or read or play a board game. This is a historic building with old pine wall paneling and beams, the wifi is good, the staff is great and very helpful. Food is a little more expensive, but it's convenient and good tasting. My favorite place on the north shore - experience history!

Had a package deal with Mountain Inn and had breakfast vouchers for the Continental Buffet. Option to upgrade to full buffet for $5 more. One drink (coffee/tea OR juice) included. Great views and nice rustic lodge feeling. Friendly service and great view of Lake Superior. We did not stay here so this review is only regarding the breakfast.

The resort is next to lake superior and has nice views. We didn't stay there. We went for dinner. The restaurant was not open until 5:30 pm for dinner. But there is a pub which was open. The quality if food was very good and price was reasonable. We ordered cream of wild rice soup and chicken artichoke pizza and both were delicious. The pizza was spicy and I loved it. There is a gift shop and a game room there too. There is a nice fire place in the lobby which is very good in cold winter time.

We rented a cabin for a week in July. Great location with so many things to do nearby. The cabin was clean, comfortable and well maintained. The deck had a great view of Lake Superior and felt private even though other cabins are right next door. We signed up for some of the included resort activities- highly recommended. As a family, we especially enjoyed paddle boarding on Lake Caribou, our guide and instructor was excellent. No equipment or experience needed - just sign up and let the resort take care of the rest.
