Lux Cafe has your typical diner/family restaurant feel, which I consider a good thing - it means even your first time there feels like being in a familiar place. The staff definitely helps foster that with their welcoming attitude. We had breakfast, so I can't speak to anything but that... but that breakfast was enough to guarantee we will be returning again and again. The portions are VERY generous. Ordering one egg gets you two, ordering two eggs gets you four. As someone very fond of plenty of yolk in my sunnyside up eggs, this was a pleasant surprise! I also love how tea is served - a mug with hot water and your tea bag, plus a large carryout cup of hot water with a lid. Being able to leave with a still steaming cup of tea in this cold Michigan winter was fantastic! I also had pancakes with my meal. They make their batter like we do, with a bit of vanilla, so that was delicious. Plus they were fluffy and just the right density to soak up the rich maple syrup. If I had to find something to complain about, it would be a) their hours and b) that there's no copy of their menu online. I understand the former - seems a common practice in diners in western Michigan. But the lack of online menu (or presence) is a major oversight on the part of the owners/managers, especially in this digital age. Lux has a GREAT menu, and they should be proudly offering it for viewing online.

Staff is wonderful!! Food is delicious! There is vast selection. They offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner until their 2pm closing time. Because sometimes...you want a burger for breakfast!!

Food good...kinda cold inside thow...this day. Ate many times here. We were seated we seem to wait little bit longer. Table's seated after us around us came after us and got their food before us ? They had same food. We were in the front setting. We watched all extra help seemed to be cleaning up getting ready to close ?? We will be back...if that helps. Happy new year's...2018

The best place to eat breakfast in Battle Creek MI. I had the Vegetarian omelette that waters your mouth and is enough for two days. 😋 Delicious!
