I live across the road from the park and all I ever see is people enjoying the shade and sharing conversation and food. Of course there are some who shouldn't be there, but that's the way it is everywhere any more,

Best park in Mattoon. Plenty of activities and events though out the year. Summer is packed with Friday night movies on the great lawn. Music in the new stage/pavilion. One of the largest single vessel pools around. All new nature designed play ground equipment​ and plenty of walking paths. Tennis courts. New bocce ball courts. Something for everyone here.
