I love this place. I used to go to Mac's as a kid when they were all over ABQ but most of them have closed down now. If I'm in a fast food mood and in Rio Rancho I always go here. If I were to review this place minus my nostalgia I would give it 4 stars. It's still really good. You should get a limeade with your rough dinner.

OMG!!!!!!!!!!. That was the worst food I have ever eaten!!!!! We had the 8 PC steak in the rough and yes it was ROUGH!!!! The steak was dry and tough with way to much breading..the bread roll was so dry and stale. Don't get me started on the over cooked onion rings... and to top it off the food has absolutely no taste!!!! We had the hot sauce dip the ketchup had more flavor. 
Never again will we go there don't waste your time or your hard earned money.

First time eating here, and I went with my wife and 2 yr old daughter. We all enjoyed the food, (chicken tenders and steak tenders) but this review serves as a shout out to Jordan behind the counter. He didn't just take our order, he made suggestions, didn't rush us, was well dressed in company uniform and brought the order to our table. Jordan's level of customer service is at management-level.

Mac's Steak on 528 location, the cashier was so cool! He even came to my table n asked if everything was ok n even cleared my table!  The entire staff was just too cool. Now talk about guest service huh. The food was so fresh n hot, n definitely deliciously amazing.The price was fairly reasonable and can't wait to have those steak fingers again! The atmosphere was really welcoming, which l even stuck around for ice-cream, n a refill on my drink. Yeah l might have to stop on by n grab some to go today!  Lol..

I like Macs usually but this visit was not great. First our Cherry Limeade tasted awful. It reminded me of cinnamon. It was not good. They did however replace our drinks with Sprite upon request. Also, the wait was pretty long.
