I'm in the middle of moving from Texas to Brooklyn, and circumstances decided I had to stay in Lexington for the night. What a piece of good fortune to have. I would take a vacation to Lexington just to eat at Macado's. I'm very serious about food, and this place knocks it out of the park. Please eat here. Service is great, beautiful building, price is right, and again, the food is unbelievable. Huge menu, (I'm pretty sure) from-scratch preparation, and tastes amazing. Hope I pass through here again one day!

Great place. Good food - the Reuben was delicious- good service tonight. In a beautiful old building on Main Street. Great atmosphere.

Ruben sandwich great. My wife's salad with cashews she enjoyed even without dressing. Service terrible, but we arrived late and they were understaffed... had to beg for table service. Music VERY loud. Still I'll give 4* ... the Ruben and my very cold draft beer

A wonderful meal and service. The restaurant was a 10 minute walk from our hotel and was one of the suggestions from the desk clerk. The fare is primarily sandwiches (an extensive offering) but there are several entree and meal salad options as well. I had the "Titanic"; a French dip steak sandwich with Au Jus. The meat was sliced thin and tender. I opted to pay an up charge for onion rings rather than accept the standard chips / fruit / potato salad sides. The decor is eclectic, with local history references to both Washington and Lee University and the Virginia Military Institute. Typical of a "bar and grill", there were televisions in sight from the table but they did not detract from the atmosphere. I gave four stars due to my convention of avoiding five star ratings for all but the most impressive experiences.

The food was ok. I had the lasagna and it was not what I would expect for the price. I expected a bit better. Everyone seemed very happy with their meals though. My son loved his shake in a led cup. The service was good. I like Macado's as I have been to others. This was the first time I'd been to this one.
