I was first introduced to the  shop as a teenager, hanging out in the Go-go's every Saturday night! Of course we had to look our best and hair had to be "Tight"! We would stand in a line that was a block sometimes. Thelma Nelson (Owner) was my stylist and she was always on top of her game. She was always pleasant, professional, energetic and Always had that "Motherly Love" about herself as she talked in her soft voice. The styles she would create on my head were made just for me, they fit my face, wasn't too much, and I Always received Compliments....even when the party was over and I've been sweating a bit! Lol.  I always heard about her sister "Sarah" whom they said was in school at that time however, they made it known that she was going to be as good as her Big Sister, Thelma.   I later went back as an adult with my Mother.....0which Thelma became her stylist and Sarah became mine. My mother past away in 2003 and my family received support from these ladies....I thank God for them! I've recently returned home because I had allowed  too many people to do things to my hair that wasn't good and it became damaged to the core. It feels so good to be home again, Thelma is nurturing me and my hair back to health and I'm feeling the Love as if I've never left! Thank you Ladies for Staying the Course, For Staying Focused,Unmovable, Unwavering and Most Importantly, Keeping God First In All That You Do!! See You Soon! Catherine
