Maine Cryospa and Therapy is an innovative company bringing cryotherapy to Maine. Cryotherapy involves exposure to extremely cold temperatures to induce a physiological response that can lead to faster recovery times, reduced inflammation, increased collagen production, pain relief, cognitive benefits, increased athletic performance and metabolic changes. We offer Whole Body Cryotherapy, CryoFacials, local cryotherapy services, and Normatec compression services.

Although it was originally developed to treat chronic medical conditions, such as multiple sclerosis and rheumatoid arthritis, Whole Body Cryotherapy is being increasingly employed by athletes. Cryotherapy has been linked to increased blood circulation, an enhanced immune system, decreased fatigue, accelerated injury recovery, increased metabolism and, due to an analgesic reaction in neural pathways, improved sleep patterns and even an elevated sense of cognitive abilities and improved mood. All of this, in only 2-3 minutes! At Maine Cryospa and Therapy we use the Juka Cryosauna; the Juka is the only sauna in the world approved by the European Union for doctor prescribed cryotherapy treatments.

We also offer Cryofacials and spot treatments. The facial stimulates skin tissue and increases the production of collagen and decreases pore size. Compared to your typical facial, this treatment is only 10 minutes and you do not have to remove any facial products. The spot treatment can be used to decrease pain, inflammation, and swelling in specific areas.

Normatec Pulse System uses compressed air to massage the limbs, mobilize fluid, and speed recovery. Enjoy a relaxing visit for 30--60 minutes in our comfortable reclining chairs.
