This office needs serious work. The primary functions of any office should be compliance and efficiency, this office cannot be trusted to even disclose simple payment history. Every time you call, there's a new person to take your call, there's another excuse for why they can't produce basic documents in a timely manner and those excuses include false statements that are unethical from a Government run agency. They had one task, email payment history for our loan originators and underwriter- it's been 24 hours & they're still struggling. Really? It takes 3 minutes, seriously. If they can't even draft a basic PDF for a legally requested and required documentation letter for a BANK, then the whole lot of them needs serious quality control management and hasn't earned their tax funded paycheck. Do your job.

These folks have served me well over the years .... and though none of us enjoy paying taxes the assistance rendered has always been professional and courteous.

I see these negative reviews for the Maine Revenue Service, and I get it. They're tax collectors - it's hard to give the good marks, and if you even think of rating them, it's probably the result of a bad experience. But I've been a tax professional for 12+ years now, and I've never found Maine Revenue to be anything less than helpful when I've had to call them.

They are just as big of crooks as the IRS. They falsified a return to say I owed them money. They filed a fraudulent return in my name and used fictitious numbers to inflate my income. They will be investigated by the District Attorney's office for filing a fraudulent return under my name, CROOKS!
