We had a very pleasant experience renting from Maleno. The apartment was clean when we moved in. All the appliances were adequate and in working condition. The garage and basement  allowed for our car and storage. This is rare for an apartment. From my experience storage has always been an issue. The exterior was well maintained. The landscaping was well done. The only downfall was there is no lighting over the sink in the kitchen. If we have a need to rent in Erie in the future we would rent from Maleno again.

My child is a student at a school in Erie, we live 8 hours away, when we had to find an apartment at the last minutes we were stuck with taking what we could find and hope for the best.  We drove the 8 hours to Erie, arrived at Lake View Apartments and was so pleasantly surprised.  The one-bedroom my child rented was huge to apartment standards, it was clean and the amenities were great.  The garage was wonderful for Erie winters and being able to park your car and walk into your apartment was nice and also safe.  The staff at Maleno is wonderful to work with, very receptive to questions or concerns.  We can't say enough about the maintenance staff, Jim, is the best and they are there as soon as you call.  We highly recommend Maleno and the properties they manage, top notch organization.  Rent is reasonable, yearly increase was reasonable, utilities (heat approx $50 - $60 per month in winter) reasonable. This particular apartment is near pool, a bit noisy in summer months so if that's a concern (for a student studying), find one not near pool. Location of apartments in a good location for Erie - not far from major stores but not too close either.

Natalie at Maleno was great to work with. She assisted my family with both selling our home and buying our new one. We didn't make life easy for her as my wife and I teetered between building a new home and buying an existing. In the end we bought an existing home in a neighborhood we love. Despite all that she was incredibly professional, knowledgeable and made herself available nearly 24 hours a day through the entire process to answer any questions we had. Natalie made what is usually a difficult and complex process easy. We truly appreciate her time and effort. When the time arrives to move my family again, Natalie will be my first call. Lived in the Shadow Pines community fora few years with Maleno.  Shadow Pines is in a great safe location.  Having access to a pool and gym was also a bonus.  When I put in a work order for maintenance, Drew came out the same day to fix it.  Maleno's staff was friendly and I enjoyed living there.

I want to thank every individual on the Maleno staff and everyone who helped in the building of my mother's dream house.  My 94 year young mother knew that she wanted Maleno Builders to build her new home. 
 
There were features that my mother and I had in mind for this very special home and Maleno was always patient, accommodating and pleasant to work with as those requests were made. I worked closely with Dominic, Melissa and Natalie and through emails that were sent by me at all hours of the day and night. The Maleno team answered with amazing speed and researched information. I did not return to see the progress until completion, and every time I think of that day, I get goosebumps and tear up.  Seeing the Dream that Maleno built far exceeded my expectations.  The careful attention to detail by the Maleno team shows pride in their craftsmanship.  Now, there is so much light and joy in the face of my mother!
